We had this nightlight two years ago but it broke. The new version doesn't give off eny light. My toddler insists we keep the hall light on and door open now because his room is too dark.

I should have listened to the previous review, but really wanted it to work as it goes so well with my sons jungle themed bathroom. First off, it arrived with a mark across the face of the elephant. I still plugged it in to try it out. The paint is so dark very, very little light shines through.. you can also see the awful paint job which is super streaked with the little light there is. Other sites recommend this product, but they are from 2010... maybe they have cut corners on production for it now...

The elephant is painted so dark blue that you can't see the light shine through at all.
