Even though he's only watched "Spongebob" a few times, my 2 yr. old LOVES this seat! I no longer have to chase him back and forth in the car to get him to sit in his car seat, so that's a definite plus overall. The quality of the seat itself seems pretty good, and out of the box I got the impression that it would be a sturdy, comfortable seat for my 2 year old son. But I have a major gripe that keeps me from giving this seat a 4-star or better rating.

Installation was straight-forward with the LATCH tethers, BUT I have NOT been able to get a really good, snug fit with this seat. It seems like the LATCH belt path is too high, and there's some twisting/bending in the belt material that makes it super hard to tighten the seat. It is very frustrating to still see that the seat has so much "wiggle room" (at least 2 inches side-to-side) despite my best efforts to tighten the belt. You shouldn't have to be a 200lb body builder to snugly install a car seat.

I have a few other nit-picky complaints, like the fact that the cupholders don't fit my kids' sippy cups, and I find the "hands" on the cupholders to be a bit... creepy. But those are really minor compared to my installation frustration. I may try to use my car's seat belt instead of the LATCH tethers to see if I can get a better fit. But, seeing as how I'm used to getting a perfectly snug fit (with ease!) in my other car with a Recaro seat, I may never be completely satisfied with the way this seat "fits".

One final plus for the seat is that it does seem to be a pretty comfortable ride for my son. He's a car sleeper, and the strap pads and padded headrest support his head really well when he falls asleep.

Bottom line - this seat is OK, and for the price it seems like a good value. Just be prepared to wrestle with it if you insist on getting a snug fit!

This seat is great! My 19 month old son's head doesn't fall over when he's sleeping. Love the cup and snack holders. It's very easy to install and so cute!! The only thing that I have found that I don't like is the chest clip slides down too easily when you don't want it to sometimes. But overall we love this Spongebob seat and would recommend it!

My son loves his Sponge Bob seat. Prior to owning this seat I had to struggle with my son to get him in a car seat. Now he gladly rides with his Sponge Bob seat.

My son is just shy of his 3rd birthday and weighs, 29lbs.
