this item was on backorder thru many companies for quite some time. my daughter loves that she has a kitchen that looks similar to the real thing. sturdy build with many different appliances (that also make good storage).
my husband is pretty handy and it still took some time to get it put together (3 hrs) due to all the parts and details that make it so nice. wish the appliances made some noise like the some of the plastic versions.

          Comments about Uptown Espresso Kitchen:

This is a great kitchen for kids. My son is 2 years old and loves to "cook." He can reach all the functions, and he loves to talk on the phone and press the buttons for the microwave.

The product is well made, but it does take a fair amount of time to put together. Some of the plastic pieces (the door handles) had some chips in them, but overall, we were pleased with the product. The most difficult part of putting it together was getting the small screws in from underneath the countertop to secure it in place by the sink.

The kitchen looks great, and I know my son will enjoy cooking for several years.

This was a wonderful experience for me. I purchased this product last year for my grandson's birthday. I didn't get it from yoyo and it took many months to get due to being backordered. On Thanksgiving when my grandaughter was here, she fell in love with his kitchen. I went to yoyo and found it and it's been delivered to my son's house already! Thank you YOYO!

                Comments about Uptown Espresso Kitchen:

I first received Model#53260. The box had multiple parts that had broken during shipment and was really poorly packaged. Unfortunately KidKraft did not have the necessary parts and will not have them in until at least early 2013. Diapers.com representative was able to help me out and send a brand new set Model#53260A overnight for Saturday delivery (for a Sunday birthday gift). The box was perfect and so were all of the parts. Diapers.com even had the broken model picked up at my house! Diapers.com and their rep saved the day! Be careful because the parts for model #53260 are not always interchangeable with model #53260A (both are listed as "Uptown Espresso Kitchen). Seems like they may have upgraded some of the parts that were prone to breaking and also improving their shipping containers.

                  Comments about Uptown Espresso Kitchen:

After a truly insane amount of research, we settled on this kitchen for my 2 year old son. While I preferred the bright colors of the "KidKraft Grand Corner Kitchen" (in red), this kitchen is 5.5 inches taller (41 inches versus just 35.5) and I wanted to be sure it could hold my son's interest once his infant sister is old enough to also play with it. Also, the corner kitchens looked like they might be difficult for more than one child to use at a time - getting in each other's way.

Luckily this kitchen is even more beautiful in real life than in the pictures. And we're going to add pops of color with a towel and a few appliances.

My one misgiving is that the plastic kitchens all have more functionality. The fact is that my son likes things that beep, blink, and make noises. While I much prefer the beautiful wooden kitchens of KidKraft, I wish KidKraft would add some electric functionality - and maybe some more "refrigerator" type shelves in the fridge. Along these lines we ended up returning the KidKraft mixer set. The "beaters" don't turn, so while it's beautiful, I couldn't imagine it being much fun. Likewise the toaster set was very loud - would be great if you have a separate playroom but not something you want in your living room.

The espresso kitchen is great. Not only does it fit the decor in your house (and look better than most real kitchens) its very sturdy. Our 2 year old LOVES it. While there were alot of pieces to put together it was not difficult just time consuming so allow a few hours to put it together. We could not be happier with it and our daughter thinks its the best thing!

Bought this for my 2 year old daughter and she loves it. It's a great size and she should be able to use it for years to come. It's nicely styled and has a very authentic feel. It's pretty basic and doesn't do anything extravagant but worth the money for the detailed instructions and nice quality despite the long time it took for my husband to put it together.

                        Comments about Uptown Espresso Kitchen:

This is a very nice kitchen set. It was the only set that I could find that looked the like a real modern kitchen. The only issue I have is that some of the silver painted parts (sink, handles) have some scrapes and the tiled backsplash was also scraped. The set appeared to be packaged well, so I'm guessing that these defects occurred at the factory.
