Comments about Uptown Espresso Kitchen:

I had my eye on this kitchen for a long time. It did take a while to assemble but I was expecting that with any large toy. The color and functioning are great. My two year old and four year old boys play great with it. Very entertaining for little ones! My only complaint is the refrigerator door is kind of squeaky when opening.

My granddaughter got this for her 2nd birthday - she loves it. She wouldn't even look at her other presents. She was too busy cooking and washing. It's a great size - doesn't take up too much space, but has all the goodies she'll use.

My 15-month old loves it so far (it's been a day). It's great that it has cabinets and doors that she can open and close at her level but she'll be able to use it for a long time since there are areas she can't even reach yet. The look is great since we are in an apartment and I didn't want to look at another 'kid' item. There were a few screws that did't fit, but thank goodness my husband is handy and drilled bigger holes and got everything to fit.

      Comments about Uptown Espresso Kitchen:

We love this kitchen and 6 months later it is still going strong with my 3&1/2yo and 1&1/2yo boys beating on it every day! We wanted something that could go in the living area where I could keep an eye on my little ones while I was in the kitchen and this version looks nice and blends in unlike some of the other more colorful models. I love that this kitchen does NOT have lights or sounds because they get annoying after a while and require more batteries and light bulbs etc. There is also ample storage space for toy food, dishes and utensils.

Do not try to put this kitchen together the night before! (We did and went to bed well past midnight...oops!)It is time consuming to put together, so make sure you give yourself plenty of time to assemble and there are parts that are easier with 2 sets of hands. It was pretty easy to assemble overall, esp. if you have put things like this together before. So far the kitchen has been very sturdy and does not tip easily, but does have a grounding kit if you choose to use it! The only down side of this order was that the box was really beat up when it came (thank you UPS), but all pieces were there and nothing was scratched or broken, so the inside packaging was well done!
I would highly recommend this kitchen again and again! I love products that are built to last!

I did a lot of research on kitchens and kept coming back to this one and I am so glad I did! It is even better in person then I imagined. The company is amazing and will replace any damaged pieces( I had a few damaged in shipping) at no cost and no questions asked! It took a good 3.5 hours to put together but was very easy and the directions were easy to follow..just time consuming. It is heavy and very durable! I loved it because it was wooden, big enough for 2 kids to play together, and cute in any room of the house. I would recommend this kitchen to anyone! Can't wait for my kids to see it Christmas morning!

This kitchen is nice. it is very trendy looking. We've been using it for 2 months. It is a bit disappointing that some of the things are 'cheap' like the toy phone, and the plastic on the oven door looks like it will easily break. some of the pieces did not line up really well which made assembly quite difficult. anyway, our kid likes it. i wish the 'metal' was actually magnetic. And also, that the Towel Bar wasn't so easily removed.

Bought this for my 3 yr olds birthday. We are happy that it is gender neutral we, she is a girl but we are so tired of pink or purple everything. It looks better in person than on the web.
My only complaint and the reason it is getting 4 not 5 stars is because it took 6+ hours to put it together. My husband is great at putting things together and doing it correctly. The instructions were easy for him (not me) to understand. It is very sturdy and several children could get lots of play time out of it but be prepared for the task of putting it together

this item was on backorder thru many companies for quite some time. my daughter loves that she has a kitchen that looks similar to the real thing. sturdy build with many different appliances (that also make good storage).
my husband is pretty handy and it still took some time to get it put together (3 hrs) due to all the parts and details that make it so nice. wish the appliances made some noise like the some of the plastic versions.

        Comments about Uptown Espresso Kitchen:

This is a great kitchen for kids. My son is 2 years old and loves to "cook." He can reach all the functions, and he loves to talk on the phone and press the buttons for the microwave.

The product is well made, but it does take a fair amount of time to put together. Some of the plastic pieces (the door handles) had some chips in them, but overall, we were pleased with the product. The most difficult part of putting it together was getting the small screws in from underneath the countertop to secure it in place by the sink.

The kitchen looks great, and I know my son will enjoy cooking for several years.

This was a wonderful experience for me. I purchased this product last year for my grandson's birthday. I didn't get it from yoyo and it took many months to get due to being backordered. On Thanksgiving when my grandaughter was here, she fell in love with his kitchen. I went to yoyo and found it and it's been delivered to my son's house already! Thank you YOYO!

              Comments about Uptown Espresso Kitchen:

I first received Model#53260. The box had multiple parts that had broken during shipment and was really poorly packaged. Unfortunately KidKraft did not have the necessary parts and will not have them in until at least early 2013. Diapers.com representative was able to help me out and send a brand new set Model#53260A overnight for Saturday delivery (for a Sunday birthday gift). The box was perfect and so were all of the parts. Diapers.com even had the broken model picked up at my house! Diapers.com and their rep saved the day! Be careful because the parts for model #53260 are not always interchangeable with model #53260A (both are listed as "Uptown Espresso Kitchen). Seems like they may have upgraded some of the parts that were prone to breaking and also improving their shipping containers.

                Comments about Uptown Espresso Kitchen:

After a truly insane amount of research, we settled on this kitchen for my 2 year old son. While I preferred the bright colors of the "KidKraft Grand Corner Kitchen" (in red), this kitchen is 5.5 inches taller (41 inches versus just 35.5) and I wanted to be sure it could hold my son's interest once his infant sister is old enough to also play with it. Also, the corner kitchens looked like they might be difficult for more than one child to use at a time - getting in each other's way.

Luckily this kitchen is even more beautiful in real life than in the pictures. And we're going to add pops of color with a towel and a few appliances.

My one misgiving is that the plastic kitchens all have more functionality. The fact is that my son likes things that beep, blink, and make noises. While I much prefer the beautiful wooden kitchens of KidKraft, I wish KidKraft would add some electric functionality - and maybe some more "refrigerator" type shelves in the fridge. Along these lines we ended up returning the KidKraft mixer set. The "beaters" don't turn, so while it's beautiful, I couldn't imagine it being much fun. Likewise the toaster set was very loud - would be great if you have a separate playroom but not something you want in your living room.
