I installed these a few weeks ago to keep my 13-month old out of the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. I will say that they are very sturdy so they aren't breaking or bending too much as we go in and out of the cabinets. They were also super easy to install, and the price is good! Only 4 small screw holes into the cabinets (only 2 of which you'd ever see later). I'd recommend and will buy more if I need to keep him out of more places.

I think this product is great! They are super easy to install and latch quite nicely. When installing them just be sure that you can get to the latch easily. If you dont have much space between countertops and cabinets I would not use these as a top latch, but I'm sure you could install these on the sides instead and they would work just as well.

I've had these on our cabinets for a few weeks, and so far they have been great. Despite what another reviewer said, we do not have to push very hard to get our cabinets shut. It all depends on how you position the pieces. Just make sure they are guaranteed to catch and stay securely hooked, but not so tight that you have to struggle and push the hook down to close the cabinets. To figure out positioning, you may have to play around with it for a bit before drilling. I held the hook in place and opened and closed the cabinet several times, always shifting the hook up and down slightly until I found a secure position that allowed the door to swing shut. So far these are the only cabinet locks that work for us. They're easy for us to unlatch one-handed, but our baby hasn't figured them out or broken them.

These locks do the job. However, when you're closing the cabinet door, you also have to press down on the lock -- I found this to be inconvenient. I picked up some Safety 1st ones and not only are they cheaper, but they're wider for an easier thumb/finger press to release the lock, and you can swing your cabinet door closed without having to press down the lock.

This product is great, once it has been installed. The screws that come with the product don't fit well with any standard philips or flathead screwdriver. The frustration ended when I finally just used some good screws from Home Depot ... I would suggest you buy this product, but throw the screws away and buy some real ones.
