Comments about Spring Action Lock (4):

I have pretty standard kitchen cabinets, and these didn't fit them. The latch allows you to open the door about an inch before it catches. Unfortunately, the doors are about an inch thick, as is the overhang above it, so I can't get my finger in to push down and unlock the latch.

Comments about Spring Action Lock (4):

This is a high quality safety lock that my toddler still hasn't figured out how to open! These work well on cabinets that don't have handles as well as drawers. These stand up to a 30 lb. toddler hanging on them without causing damage to the wood.

Comments about Spring Action Lock (4):

We found this device NOT to work on our double cabinet doors due to the construction of our doors..it does however, fit a single cabinet door. For this, it works fairly well. My only complaint-when closing the door, you must push the device similarly to when opening it or it may break with the pressure. We ended up buying the Safety 1st Prograde Cabinet lock for our double cabinet doors and LOVE it.

Comments about Spring Action Lock (4):

12-pk latches for [$]are hard for me to install/use. These are super--except for the flat-head screws included (got required pan-head from hardware store: get #6 x 1/2" if you end up with a similar lot). You can lock them down/"off" when child is not visiting, but I simply pop the latch part off to prevent compressing the spring for long periods of time. Easy to install because can slide attachment plate to adjust the latch height before tightening all the screws. I pre-drilled 1/16" x 1/2"-deep pilot holes. Can install without a "receiving" latch plate if drawers/ cabinets have a frame to catch the latch, even sideways if that's a more convenient height, but these do come with latch plates, too. Also used these on upper dresser drawers. My drawers/cabinet doors open 7/8" before catching, exposing the flat, easy-press latch button. My intrepid granddaughter hasn't outwitted them yet. Except for wrong screws, a perfect product.
