It was a good idea, however, ours doesn't stick on the door very well. I have gone through both sticky backs that came with product. Now we are brainstorming another way to make it stick better.

It is a really bad product, don't waste your money. I bought three sets for my sliding doors mirrors and, after having a hard time finding a way to fix them in the mirrors, because the stickers that come with them are not good, they broke with my 19 month old daughter trying to open the door. When you are baby proofing a house a product should be able to keep a baby out!
Just don't buy it so you won't get upset!

I have both locks on one of my glass sliding closet doors. Haven't fallen off and my oldest son can not get in the closet anymore.

Bought it for sliding glass doors. It popped right off on the first attempt at opening the door so it would never work to keep our toddler inside the home.

seemed great for a minute, but they can get stuck behind the moulding (1 of the 2 unless I had it sticking out and then the door wouldn't close all the way)or the 2nd one just didn't stay in the position it was supposed to at all. I had them on 2 different doors for less than 2 hours and then removed them (along with some paint). BOO! Will be returning them.

I had to replace the sticky backing provided with a heavier duty double sided adhesive to keep it from popping off the door when my son would try to open the closet. Works well as a deterrent.

The tape that came with the product was useless! I followed the directions and the very first time my 1yr old tried to open the door it fell off. I bought some foam mounting tape and now it works great. Once I could get them to stick they have worked every time to keep my toddler out of the closets! A must have if you don't mind the extra cost of stronger tape.
