We have these all over the house! We have one for the front door, bathroom door, laundry room door...my husband has actually screwed the adhesive "lock" into the doors, our oldest son showed us that if you pull hard enough on them, they'll pop right off! We also use a rubberband to hold the lever part together, some of them are "looser" than others. With these adjustments, they work wonders, and I don't have to follow my toddler around everywhere. My main complaint would be that it does take some conscious thought when closing the door, you have to be sure that it is engaged. After some time time that becomes second nature, though. This is best if you have older toddler/kids that cannot reach any of the taller door locks.

This product works great to keep my toddler out of the bathroom and from getting into the basement. The adhesive to stick to the door holds great and the locking mechanism is easy to work.

This was not useful for very long! I bought it when my son started getting out of his crib to keep him from wandering the house at night. It did, for about two months until he got tall enough to reach the handle. He just turned two and as soon as he could reach it, he was out! Find something else if you want your child to stay put.

This works great for my 15 month old. He figured out the levers and can barely reach them! I don't know how long this will last but he has given up on the 2 doors I tried the locks on . . . they are also super easy to install and shouldn't leave a mark using the adhesive option.

I bought these thinking they looked much easier to install then the ones I had for our first child. Well, they were far easier to install, however our 18 month old boy figured them out all on his own within a couple days and they were then a useless addition to the door. I liked that they could be opened from the opposite side when in use but these are far from childproof. Would not recommend them!

It says that it fits most levers, well I thought we had a standard lever door handle an it does not fit ours. The covering only fits around round shafts (the part extending from the door to the lever itself) not oblong ones like ours. It is a good idea and I am sure I would have loved it had it fit. I am keeping it to give to a friend since it would cost just as much in S&H to return it.

I purchased this for our back doors so that my then two year old son could not get out of the house. This item is awful I put this on in the afternoon and the next day my son was able to push the gray lever up and turn the knob, by the next day he pulled the gray button completely off.

We have a 19-month-old who is ALL boy. He is most interested in whatever he isn't supposed to be near. After reading reviews we ordered one to try it. We installed with screws and we've been pleased that this keeps him from opening the basement door. I am ordering more today.

Yes, huge, but a temporary addition to household "look." Baby can't figure out but 5yo can still open the door on his own to get into the bathroom as needed. You DON'T have to take apart your doorknob to install this, like you do with the cheaper (and smaller) Safety 1st product. I'd rather pay more, spend 1 1/2 minutes installing, have them work for the time period I need them to work, then remove and pass along to the next family who has a need. You shouldn't be disappointed. Ordering more today!!

Thought these looked very nice, but they are gargantuan. Baby can't open because baby can't put her hands around it. The thing is about 3 inches deep (cleverly unapparent with good photography). Am returning a half-dozen of these on a Matson freightliner.

This is a terrific product. We have installed 4 of them using the temporary installation instructions (we did not want to make screw holes in the doors). These locks have been fantastic-- the design is wonderful becuase they are self resetting and leaves the door accessible from the opposite side. My 17 month old daughter has pulled on them and they do not budge. It also takes two moves to open-- pull up on the lock & then pull the lever-- so it is more kid proof. The other lever locks would not fit our lock sets, so this was a tremendous find! I would highly recommend these to any parent.
