I have no idea why these don't have better rating. I have tried 3 other types of door knob locks and I hated them all!! Unlike the others, these are easy to use, you're able to open the door with very little effort (the other ones I had I actually had to remove it altogether to open the door b/c it wasn't going to open with it on there). They require very little work and are definitely the best out there...I'm talking after using these for 2 years, and trying all the others.

The tabs make it easier for baby to open door than if there were nothing covering the knob. I contacted Kidco, they claim these are designed for babies up to 24 months, but "some babies are too smart." Are they kidding??? NOWHERE on the packaging does it say up to 24 months, and that "too smart" line is pretty weak. My baby has adjusted age of 19 months, and there's nothing special about her door opening abilities. These should not be that easy to open. With the false sense of security they give, it's a tragedy waiting to happen.

These are the only door cover my toddler cant break thru. He takes the safety first grip n squeeze door covers off in 5 minutes but these are so tough he never gets by. They are a pain in the neck for adults too, but I'm okay with that because at least they really work!

These are definately "child proof"! The package says that all you have to do is pinch the two bottom pieces to be able to twist the door knob. But when you do that, it doesn't even grab onto the door knob because it is below the doorknob. The idea is great, but I am taking all of these off to replace with something that actually allows the adults to get out!
