IN NYC it was very hard to find this item for a grandchild and when I tried to use it I was SO dissapointed. NO WAY can one person push down on the mill and grind it.....there is nothing to grip so it is messy and slippery. Try another brand.

I was SO disappointed in this food mill. I wasn't familiar with the KidCo brand, but thought I would try it out, given their extensive line of products. SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT! You have to stuff the food into the tube then press down while turning the mill, which I would be fine with IF it actually were made properly! Turning the handle (even without food in it) the thing falls apart. The FEW (literally 3) times I have gotten it to work (with MUCH effort and my husband holding things in place) only about half the food comes out of the tube, the rest gets stuck in there. This product is AWFUL!

I was very excited when I got this product thinking that it would be easier to puree foods for my baby (who will not eat anything from a jar - picky eater also have a baby that has difficulties with eating and needs the food very smooth and runny). I found that after I was done puree the fruit, when you took the food mill apart that there was about 1/4 of the fruit that was still at the bottom of the food mill. It does not puree carrots very well and I put it through the food mill several times to get a smooth consistancy and that never happened. Will be returning mine.

The quality of the food mill is not good. The plastic parts look like they were quickly dumped out of the mold. The lid on the mill did not perfectly fit. To be fair, I did not actually try and use it. I took it out of the box, saw its quality and put it back in to return.

It was very easy to return with customer service. They emailed me a UPS label, I taped it onto the box and dropped it off at UPS.
