Manufacturers might be removing BPA, a chemical used to harden certain plastics, from their products, but they are substituting chemicals that may be just as dangerous, if not more so." Here is the link to the full article:[@]I did quite a bit of research into stainless steel before I originally purchased these bottles and have found stainless is anti-microbial, it doesn't leach, it's odorless, indestructible, it's super lightweight for little hands and you can recycle it! I LOVE MY "SAFE STARTERS" we started with the 5oz and have just moved into the 9oz-couldn't be happier!!!

This is a great concept: stainless steel baby bottle's the next great thing (and here's the big...) BUT the nipple is everything on a bottle. I tried all the flows, even flow 1 for newborns on my 11 month old and he still chokes on it. If you hold the bottle upside down it drips a steady stream on flow 1. I got the bottles before my baby was even born & tried using them several times- I'm very upset I couldn't and had to stick with standard glass bottles instead. Hopefully Kid Basix will realize this and make the nipple holes smaller on all the flows. I wouldn't recommend this product until they change/redesign the nipples.
