Comments about The Safe Sporter - 12 oz - Red:
i was excited to order and receive this water bottle because it was the right size for my twin 6 year old boys. Plus it was not painted (like the Sigg or Crocodile Creek bottles) so I did not have to worry about paint chipping off like some of the other kids water bottles. Unfortunately the bottles leak. I pressed the spout down tight but it still leaks the water if I shake it upside down. I bought 2 of these water bottles and both have the same issue. I put it in the outside pocket of my sons' school backpacks so that the bottles don't tumble around and leak inside the bag. I would never put them inside the backpack or their gym bags because I'd run the risk of getting everything wet. There is a plastic cap that goes over the spout so I must admit that the spilled water is pretty much contained inside the cap but when you open the cap, the water is there and gets on anything that is near the spout. This is too bad because the bottle looks good -- we bought 2 reds. It is simply designed so not a lot of parts to clean... If it did not look so good or did not have the cap that covers the spout, I would have given it one star but since it has those two things, I give it two stars...
I prefer Sigg water bottles as they do not leak but the paint chips easily on them and I have to replace them more often.
