I would only recommend this product if you are planning to travel places where there is no toilet or are phobic about letting the child use public toilets. At home, we have spills constantly because urine bounces off of the plastic on the underside of the item. I am searching for a better item to convert the toilet for his size.

I bought two and keep one in each car. That way, no matter where we are, we have it handy. So no matter whether you like to do a lot of outdoors activities, have a picky potty trainer or just can't stand to put your child on a dirty public potty, the Potette Plus is a simple solution. When we first started leaving the house wearing "big-girl undies," I was nervous about what to do in public bathrooms (I would have to support my daughter so she wouldn't fall in, and let's face it...they're not always the cleanest!) but with the Potette Plus, it sits on top of the toilet seat and my daughter can sit comfortably, and she holds the handles instead of gripping the toilet. Voila! Relaxed Mama!

I've also used it as a mini-toilet at the park, right on the ground near a tree. It's much easier than pulling all her clothes off to have her pee standing up, which is what we used to do.

The only slight con is that the flaps can feel stuck when it's set up like a mini-toilet, but that's not a big deal.

I really love this product and recommend it to all my friends with toilet-training toddlers.

It was so easy to transport! We had never used it as a training seat til the first time we used this and my child loved it and went just fine. We had tried him sitting on the potty before by himself and he didn't like it so much. This seat has rubber things on the sides to keep it from sliding and it fits perfectly with my 2 year old boy. It also comes with a durable plastic bag to carry it around in, so it doesn't touch anything in your diaper bag or car incase you cannot clean it right away.
