I used this on our first real vacation to Hawaii this week. We usually use the cloth swim trunks, but since my 19 m/o hadn't pooped, i wanted to try this and not make a mess of our reusable one. My l/o actually did 'go' while playing in the water,and the clean up/changing of the swim diapers was such a mess it was disgusting!the kid is wet and the soiled diaper is stuck to them how in the world are you suppose to take this off with out making a huge mess?

These are meant to contain #2 and they do a great job! No, they don't hold large amounts of urine, but they aren't meant to. As far as them being messy to take off, the sides rip very easily for clean removal. The wonderful thing about these is you can reuse them. If there is only water or urine in the diaper they can be rinsed out well and turned inside out to dry. They are good as new for a couple more uses.

I think these diapers are meant for people who go to a public pool, get in the water, then immediately strip naked and change into normal clothes after.

We don't just get in the water. We may hang out at the beach or in the backyard and get in the water a bit, get out of the water a bit, get in the water a bit more and so on. If I were to immediatly change my kids into swim diapers when they got in the water and then immediately change into a normal diaper after they got out I would go through like FORTY of these.

These are not diapers by any means. These are only meant for catching poo and that's it!

Ordered these for holiday weekend. As far as disposable swim diapers go they are fine BUT my 2 1/2 year old son REFUSED to wear the Little Mermaid/pink diaper that was shipped to us because, "These are for girls." The "girl" diapers are now in storage for my daughter to wear in two years and meanwhile I had to hoof it to a bricks-and-mortar retailer on Memorial Day weekend while all the other cousins were in the pool to avoid more melting down toddler. PLEASE offer character selection in the future as this product is clearly designed with a gender bias.

I use these regularly for my now 3 and half month old. I have been using them since before he was two months when we took a family vacation to Mexico and have never had a problem with them. We have a hot tub that we take him in (with the temperature turned down) wearing just the Little Swimmer and have never had any leaks.
However, I don't have him wear the SWIM diapers if he's not in WATER. Kind of seems like common sense to me that swim diapers are for when your child is in the water and not regular use. It also makes me wonder about the mentality of some of the people that have posted about having leaks in the car seat or stroller? Why isn't your child wearing a regular diaper if they are in the car seat or stroller?
It does suck that the sizes aren't regular sizes, but they seem to stay in place and fit alright even when the weight size is more than what my son weighs. He is currently at 12 lbs and yes the swim diapers look like they engulf him when he's wearing them, but they do their job and prevent the waters from becoming contaminated.

These are swim diapers, not regular diapers. They are meant to be used IN water. Put on right before swimming and take off right after. Never had a problem with leaking if you use them for what they're supposed to be used for.

This is the only brand I've tried, and I've only used it a few times. We used it first last summer when my daughter was about 9-10 months old. This spring we used it a couple times to go to a swim class. I put it on her before we left the house and took it off after her class as we changed to go home. I haven't had a problem yet, but it is definitely messy when there is [...]. Our daughter is 17 months old and about 22lbs and I still use the small size (until they run out). Not the best product, so someone should really design something better. In the mean time, these are okay. Haven't had leaks in the stroller or car seat yet.

Yes I would recommend this. yes, it does leak in the carseat, but it is not meant to put on the way to swimming. It is meant for you to put on before swimming. I have this product with my 3 year when he was 16 months - 30 months. There was a commnet regards to difficulty to take out. I had no problem, it tears easily for me on the side when I'm changing himout of it. Im about to start using this product on my 6 month old when he starts his swim lessons

We have been using Huggies Little Swimmers for my Daughter's 30 minute swim classes. She is a year old. We use Pampers for our regular diapers but found Huggies swim diapers were better and didn't leak or swell up after 30 minutes of pool time. Each time I use a pampers swim diaper I have to change her because they seem to always leak just before we jump into the pool. The only con I can think of is that they don't tear off so easily but not a big deal.
I would suggest parents keep in mind that these are swim diapers and not regular diapers so they wont hold up for hours!

My 17 month old has swim class twice a week. It's 15 mins away. I would put her swim diaper on and as soon as we get to class, I remove her from her carseat, to find her soaked. This has happened every single time.

Not sure why the negative reviews. Our child is 14 months and have been using these religiously since she was 6 months. Never had an issue and they work great. Just REMEMBER put them on before they go into the water, not before you leave the house to go to the pool or beach. Their not meant for that purpose.
