[...] My son had received a HABA toy as a gift at about 10 months and loves it. I went out and purchased this one as a birthday gift thinking it would be great for he to play with and use while STILL teething-since they are safe and the rays are perfect to nibble on. At first he could have cared less for it. I was bummed, it's an expensive toy to just toss into a toy chest. It didn't make click clack noises like the other HABA toy nor does that bell really have much jingle jangle to it. But he discovered once he tossed it that it spins and it looks soooo coooooool...he was fascinated...and continued to spin it across the entire house. He is now 13 months old and continues to play with it. He now sticks two rays in his mouth and crawls off his play mat onto the hardwood floor and tosses it around -all the while spinning it and giggling. So, I suggest is finding another way to play with a seemingly boring toy. I'm so happy my little monkey discovered a cause and effect with this very toy.

I love Haba toys, but this one is not a favorite in our house. The "bell" in the back is barely audible, and I thought the sun's rays would be more movable. It's cute...but not really very fun!
