With Haba Biofino Baguette, children can now enjoy making their own French bread. This play food has a delicious look and comes with fillings of cheese slices, salami slices, onion rings, tomato slices and lettuce leaves. Children can select these filings, arrange them in a way they want and make a baguette using creativity and imagination.
It all began in 1939 in Bad Rodach, Germany, with finely polished, colorful wooden toys, that were "finely sanded and polished wonderfully smooth, just right for tender children's hands," as the first catalogue emphasized. Today these blocks are still part of our product palate. But the factory for fine wooden toys has been transformed into "the producer of inventive playthings for inquisitive minds."
All products in the HABA range have one thing in common: our attention to detail makes each item special and unique. HABA wants to playfully support children's development, make their lives happier, more exciting, and full of the delight of discovery: to put it simply, to make their world a little more child-friendly.
A wide variety of HABA toys and games have been honored with awards for exceptional design. Since 1993, no fewer than six HABA games received the "Children's game of the Year" award.

Comments about Biofino Baguette:
cute, especially the bread has a soft terry material. fixings are mostly felted with designs: salami(4), swiss(3), tomatoes(2), onions(2). lettuce(2) has crinkle sound effect. its better if the onions stay together(2 pcs instead of 4) b/c the smaller slices are tiny and can get lost.
this makes pretend play fun, much better than plastic, worth it for the number of pieces, especially if you get it on sale.
haven't washed it yet but bread, lettuce, and tomatoes seem durable. the rest are single pieces of felt but should be ok too.
