Great to use as a room thermostat but does not work as a nightlight. The illumination is too dim. I also didn't like that it has a power adaptor and not a plug in. The less cords in a babies room, the better.

We had this thermometer when our first son was born in Europe and we absolutely loved it! The color-coding is brilliant, allowing to monitor the changes in tempertature from afar. It is also very decorative and offers the perfect amount of night-light. When we moved to the US we just had to buy the US-version of this thermometer again and are still using it, 5 years later.

My husband and I love this product it works great it defiantly changes colors with the change in temperature. We got this after knowing our baby gets hot easily now we don't even worry about the temperature we just look at the egg it says exactly what the ac thermostat says all the time. We love this product knowing that SIDS is serious and more serious in baby boys we have peace of mind with this product. We would defiantly recommend it.

As many other reviews state, this thermometer runs hot. It has never been any color but RED since we got it, indicating that the temperature in my baby's room is 75+, even with the air conditioning on.

I really love this egg! It not only displays the temperature in the room but the changing colors are such a bonus. I just glance at the color and know that the temperature is right where it should be. I have had no problems with this egg. It's a little bright to be directly next to the bed if you like a dark room. However it can be just enough illumination when you need it. Highly recommend this product!!

I was hesitant to purchase this since most the reviews are "so so". I love this thing. Its accurate and works perfectly in my house. My house is old (1920) with an original gas fired floor furnace. Our house is also not insulated and can be cold and drafty. The room therm keeps us informed of the perfect temp for our son. I compared it to another one and both say the same temp all the time.

The egg thermometer just doesn't work. It shows a constant temperature that is not at all reflective of the actual one. Given the previous reviews, it seems like there is just a flaw in the product. Not worth the risk of having to return when you have a baby to worry about.

Dont waste your money - this acts as a nightlite only since the temp is inaccurate.

It gives accurate temperature and it is easy to glance over at it and know right away if the temperature in the room is ok for baby.

It always shows the same temperature and says too hot even it is cold in the room. Great design and excellent concept but somehow the execution is not there. I use it as a night light instead of a thermometer!

I actually love this egg. As a new mum I was very anxious about whether my son was too cold or too hot, and this gave me peace of mind. At first I thought this must be wrong - because the temp readings were often surprising but then I checked with another source and sure enough it was correct. It acts as a very soft night light - and it's even cooler when you use it in partnership with the grobag sleep sacs [...] They come with a guide of which sleep sac to use for which temperatures: this egg is actually part of a system. Love the concept and the designs:)

This product does not work. It is so cold in the room about 65 degrees and the thing will show 74 too hott... same with when its warm its constantly 80 degrees also too hott. It provides incorrect temp.
