I purchased these particular storage cups for their size, interchangeable lids, and their eco-friendly/human-friendly construction material. I intended to use them to store homemade baby food for daycare, but unfortunately, they are not air tight. They leak anything liquid or pureed - applesauce, pureed pears, rice cereal, etc. I tried different cups and switching the lids, but had the same results with all. Also, I just purchased these so this was the first time using them (it's not like I've been using them for a while and they were worn out).

I'm sure they make great snack containers for dry items (Cheerios, Goldfish), but they are not as functional as I expected and needed. I purchased the 4oz Oxo brand storage containers instead and they are fantastic - tight lid with rubber seal, and I like that they are see-thru.

Also, note that the Sprout Ware snack cups cannot be microwaved. I could not find this information anywhere online, but it's stated on the packaging.

These cups are not meant to hold liquids, but they work incredibly well for what they are. Easy for the kids to open at snack time, the seal keeps snacks from getting stale, even a couple of days in, and I LOVE that they are made from plants NOT plastics. We use them, as I said, for dry snacks, as well as cut fruit, berries, etc.

2 stars for not being made of plastic. No stars for functionality. I'm taking them back for a refund :( That said I have liked other products by this company - just not this product.
