It took us 3 years to buy a sleep machine and this one is very straight forward. It doesn't have an auto-on feature so we just leave it on all night. It has nice options on it and a plug-your ipod in feature which we haven't used yet but might.

This is the best sound machine, plugs in so it doesn't turn off automatically, can run all night, has multiple sounds, volumes and a great, easy access night light. I highly recommend and definitely over others that automatically turn off and can startle and wake your baby (which the others did for mine).

The sounds are great, there are 2 different "white noise" settings. There are several others too, my fave is the one that sounds like a rain forest. I live in NYC so the mix of sounds on that setting drown out squealing breaks of cars, peoples voices from next door and the general sound of outside clatter. The design is a little weird, trying to turn it on/off or change the noise with one hand while holding your baby or something else is tricky. The power cord sometimes does get loose while you are trying to get it turned on, but once you set it up and leave it, it doesn't affect the power or noise.

We have a smaller house and it's loud with two other kids and neighbor kids running around. We use this for naps and bedtime to block it all out. She never sleeps without it and usually sleeps for 10 hours/night. We even travel with it so she feels at home. Also, it doesn't sound bad on the baby monitor. I like the iPod plugin too.

I set it up in my son's room. I have been use it for 4 months. It has been great. Only one thing is the wire connecter is not very good. I have to un-plug and plug the wire a few times to get it works. I love the music quality.

I purchased this product to help with my sons colic. He responds well to white noise so I thought this would do the trick. The white noise option doesn't work for him but we found a simply noise website that we now use with our laptop. I love this machine though and know we will use it for him when he out grows the colic. The night light on this machine is great, we use it all the time. I would definitely recommend it.

This has been a lifesaver! Our son is 7 months old and the nature sounds and heartbeat sound calm him down as he drifts off to sleep. This has helped immensely with him sleeping through the night. Now when he wakes up in the middle of the night, the sounds help him get back to sleep on his own. A must have for any sleep deprived parents! All of the sounds and music have excellent sound quality for such a compact device. The cool blue nightlight is a nice touch, as well and we love the fact that this has the option to play continuously or set a timer. We always keep it on all night! We haven't had any issues or problems that some of the other reviews mentioned. I would highly recommend getting this product!

This of the two that Diapers.com offered had by far the best sounds but worst design. The adapter was loose and disconnected easily, each time I went to grab it the light accidentally turned on and on battery mode it only worked sometimes.

My son is nearly 20 months old and I have to say I really didn't think it was possible to change his sleep habbits at this point but after one nights use he woke up an hour later. By the second night it was 2 1/2 hours and still holding. our biggest problem was that our son had evolved into a very light sleeper and woke every morining when my husband got in the shower. Our son sleeps 12 hours now before it was 9!!! I dont care how it looks, how much it cost, bottom line it has worked wonders for us.

I love this noise machine! It plays many different sounds in addition to music, it can stay on all night, and the volume is great. It also has a night light which is very helpful. I wish I had found this sooner!

My MIL first bought this sound machine for our overnight visits, but my daughter liked it so much I had to buy one for our home.
As others have mentioned, I really like that you can turn it on and it STAYS on all night long. I also turn on the night light it comes with every night. So far it has been awesome.

Must have product. I've purchased various soothers for my son and I am so happy that I found this one. My son (now 4 months) likes some of the other soothers but they actually keep him awake! I wanted one to help put him to sleep. This soother plays some of the best sounding music of all the soothers I've tried and also offers a really nice selection of various white noises. The BEST feature IMHO is the fact that you can turn it on and it will play all night long if you want it to. I haven't found any other soothers that stay on all night. Also, you have the flexibility of plugging in your own MP3 player if you want to play your own playlist of music. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

This thing is so great. We use the lullaby setting for the last feeding to let my twins know that it will soon be time to go to bed. Then we switch it to a white noise when we turn the lights out. They sleep so much better when it is on. Also you can either use batteries or plug it in. There is a soft light on top that you can turn on or off -- very helpful during late night feedings. You can also hook your ipod to it -- though I have not tried that yet.
