We bought this seat for our first born who is now 9 months old and ~20 lbs. It has worked very well for us, and actually seems to be more comfortable for him than an expensive convertable seat we have installed in our other car, believe it or not. As he is quite heavy, we keep this in the car and locked into the base for the most part, and take him in and out of it (versus carrying him in this). Pros - sleek and mature looking, we can certainly use this for our next (boy or girl) and the soft material has held up well. Easy to rethread the harness as he got bigger, and the buckles were easy to adjust in and out. Cons - the mesh on the canopy lets a lot of sun in, so I found myself putting a blanket over the canopy often to shield his eyes from the sun. Poor concept to put the mesh on the canopy, but easy to work around. Also, as he got bigger and we had to loosen the slack on the buckle more to get him in and out, the harness would get caught, in the back) on the red "teeth" that clamp into the base. For those not conscientious about it, it can make the buckle feel (from the front) that it's snug around your child, when, in fact, it's caught on the teeth in the back and not truly tight. This is a kind of scary issue, as those who do not know to check this (i.e. my husband) can think he has him snugly in the seat, when he's not. Also, this issue can prevent the seat from sitting correctly in the base, as the harness gets caught in the base locking mechanism. Again, somthing to keep in mind and easy to address once you know it's happening. Would recommend to a friend and would buy again if given the opportunity.

This car seat is great!!!
It is light weight, stylish, and even fits and matches well with my baby trend jogging stroller. I am a first time parent and I bought this car seat because the original car seat that was given to me at my baby shower did not support my babies head very well and was hard to latch into its base.This car seat has great support,snaps smoothly into its base, and is also very easy to install.

I am currently pregnant with my 2nd child and with the 1st child I had a peg prego car seat--it was so heavy AND didn't fit into any snap and go strollers without an adaptor, it became more of a pain in the neck then a joy. For the 2nd child I decided EASY and safe was the way to go! I loved the neutral color of black and silver, very stylish! The only thing I would say is that it comes with the base and in the initial describtion it didn't state that so I ordered a base as well but happily returned it!! LOVE diapers.com and Graco :)
