Comments about Smart Seat All-in-One Car Seat - Jemma:

We love this carseat! It was well worth the money. We love how easy it is to install in the van. I was worried about having enough room behind the drivers or passangers seats but it fits great. Yes, it is heavy, but we know our little one will be safe! We will be buying another one in the future.

Comments about Smart Seat All-in-One Car Seat - Jemma:

I couldn't wait to get this car seat and it finally arrived today. My 7 1/2 month old was in need of a bigger car seat, so after researching online for the best this is what I found. My husband installed the base in my Jeep since I couldn't get it snug enough and all I had to do was plop this car seat in the base and it is ready to go.

    Pros:
The cat seat base is included!! I was worried that it wasn't included because no where on this website that it is, so no need to buy the separate base unless you plan on transporting this car seat into another car such as your husband's car or your parent's cars.

This is the easiest car seat to install!! I have the My Ride 70 for my 20 month old and that was a pain to install especially with a big ol pregnant belly in the way!

I was a little confused how to make the shoulder straps longer as in not digging into my daughter's shoulders. On My Ride 70 you have to take the straps out and weave them into another slot, so the straps don't dig into your child's shoulders. All I had to do was lift the red handle on the top of the car seat and bam! It made the straps longer.

The design is absolutely beautiful and girly! I really wanted a car seat that was comfy for my baby girl, since we're a military family and stationed 18 hours away from home we make the long drive whenever we have leave and a comfy car seat is a must for is. It has nice padding and a cup holder! Also with the arm rest you can move them up to get your child inside and out of the car seat. I love the arm rest feature it reminds me of a big comfy recliner.

I also love the longevity of this car seat. I will never have to buy another car seat again. This car seat weight limit is 100 pounds and it can be converted into a booster without the car seat base.

Another feature I love is when I need to make this car seat forward facing all I have to do is push the red buttons on the side to release the car seat from its base and simply turn the car seat forward. No need to unbuckle the seat belt or try to get your fingers down by the latch belts to reinstall the car seat forward.

Enough about all the nice things about the car seat, there are some cons.

It is a heavy car seat, but its nothing a 5'3" woman couldn't handle. There isn't too big of a difference of the weight of this car seat than the infant car seat my daughter was using the Graco Snug n Ride 30. That sucker is heavy on its own and then add your baby in there the whole car seat and baby weighs just the same as this Graco Smart Seat.

The Price! I happened to get this car seat on sale and my mom offered to pay half and with my 10% discount because I am a new member, not much came out of mine and my husband's pockets, but if I didn't have a lovely mother who offered to pay half of this car seat it is expensive!!! But I also thought about you're getting an all in one car seat. Infant seat if you're going to use it for that, a toddler seat and a booster. Just imagine how much money you're going to spend on all three of those seats. It will probably be more than this Graco Smart seat, but you may not realize it because you will buy all three of those seats separately. This car seat was a lot to spend all at once, but I know this will be the last seat I will have to buy for my daughter.

Overall, I do love this car seat and I actually feel bad that this BA car seat is better than the My Ride 70 my oldest is riding in. My 7 1/2 month old doesn't seem to mind riding in the car seat, it will be comfier for her when we're riding in the car together.

Oh and I would also like to add I drive a Jeep Patriot 2012 and this car seat is installed behind the driver rear facing. If you're tall then this car seat may not fit will rear facing no matter if it is behind the driver or passenger. If it were behind the passenger you would probably have to push the seat up a little and it might be hard for you to see to your right while driving and if you have a taller passenger he or she may be uncomfortable. As a 5'3" woman this car seat doesn't bother me rear facing behind my driver seat. I just wanted to add that little bit of info in if you're thinking about rear facing this seat.

Nice seat but it is big and bulky. I have a full size GMC Yukon and the front passenger seat had to be moved forward when the seat was installed for backwards riding. It is better now that my son faces forward. I would not get this if you have a small car or need extra room in the back seat!

Comments about Smart Seat All-in-One Car Seat - Jemma:

I love this seat. I just got it today. I almost didnt get it because i saw a few reviews that said that unbuckling the harness was extremely difficult so much so that they thought it would take a nail off. Well to me it is not difficult at all. I read another review that said it was hard to adjust the straps. Its the easiest to adjust of any carseat I have owned. Other carseats I have had a problem with the straps being uneven when I adjust them and even getting tangled and twisted or being hard to pull to adjust. This is so easy not to mention the fact that you never have to undo straps to switch the threading.
You can adjust by height by pulling the seat top up or by pushing up on the clip that goes with the strap hanging on the fron of the seat by the crotch buckle. Then you simply pull the harness to let out more of the strap. SO easy. When I got it, which was super fast like a day and a half from the time I ordered, I pulled it out and it was heavy. Thats is fine because it will stay in the car anyway there is no reason for me to take it out. Then I read the manual cover to cover. Simple stuff. It is easy to install. It install like every other base except that there is a little seat belt lock that locks it in place on the base for extra protection.
I love that it has a little storage area for the LATCH clips if you are not using them instead of them just dangling in the way with like all other seats.
I also love that when you go to booster mode you dont have to remove the straps of the harness it tucks away and easily too I tested it. Just unbutton the seat cover and tuck it into the harness door that easy and the child will never feel it on their back. Perfect!
It is huge but It is fine for me since I have a mini van and she will be in a captains chair behind me. Space isnt a problem (I love my chrysler town and country). I cant name anything bad about it. It is reinforced with still so I love that too (safety). When we had it pulled out of the box my 3 year old said " I dont want my carseat any more I want a new one like this" he sat in in and didnt want to get out! It's so nice I feel a little guilty about the other two car seats that I have for my boys.

The one bad thing is that it is exspensive but I think of it as it costs for the extra safety and comfort so no complaints here. I highly reccomend it. I looked online for seats for 3 days. Read reveiws from all around the web too and looked at different brands. I am glad I got this seat. MOney well spent.

Comments about Smart Seat All-in-One Car Seat - Rosen:

We have this car seat and the Maxi Cosi Air 70. My wife uses this seat in her car (BMW 5-series), and I use the Maxi Cosi in my truck (Ram 1500).

Faced to the back, this car set fits in my wife's car just fine with a 10% or so recline. It installed easily, but there is one thing to look out for - if you have buttons on your seatblet strap (don't ask me what they are for..), the closure that goes over the strap on the base sometimes won't close properly - it takes some monkeying with it to get it to work.

This is also a very heavy car seat, so moving it from car to car is a pain (thankfully I don't do that).

If you are installing it rear-facing in a mid-sized car, the fancy features like recline, etc. won't work just because of the size.

As your child grows, you also have to manually adjust the shoulder straps - they don't move with the headrest until they are in the top slot.

It looks fairly comfortable - when my daughter starts talking I'll ask her about it, but no complaints so far!

Comments about Smart Seat All-in-One Car Seat - Jemma:

Not practical to use with new borns due to weight. Wish Graco would reduce the price on the base by half. With the second base you are looking at a $400 carseat. If you have seats that fold up the nobs on the side will rub when raising and lowering the adjacent seat. This is the sturdiest seat I found.
