Comments about Nautilus 3-in-1 Car Seat - Matrix:

This is the best car seat I have ever used! I wish I would of found this when my daughter was little, maybe they didn't have this one yet, but its the bomb-diggity dog! It's easy to get my son in and out of..he seems comfy in it..it's sleek looking and not to hard to lug around when switching from my Tahoe to my husbands Dodge! We have taken the cushion off a few times to wash and it comes out looking like new!! We are getting ready to purchase a new vehicle and I am going to be purchasing another Nautilus just because we Love it so much :) YAY Graco!!

Child Can Un-Do One Buckle Easily

Comments about Nautilus 3-in-1 Car Seat - LaGrange:

We have mostly been happy with this seat, which we purchased in the summer of 2011 for our toddler. However, in the last couple of months, she has learned to un-clip the top one of two buckles, meaning she can remove her shoulder straps (she's now 22 months old). The buckle is extremely easy to un-do--much more so than any other buckles on any other items we own (strollers, high chair, etc.). We have tried various discipline techniques with our daughter to get her to keep the belt buckled (turning off music or videos when she takes the buckle and shoulder straps off, taking away the toy she is playing with), but she continues to unbuckle the belt. With my child only half-buckled and myself being unable to re-buckle her until I can pull the car over, I feel this creates a dangerous situation. However, when I called Graco to ask for a replacement buckle that might be tougher for a tot to un-do (I'm sure we're not the only family having this problem), I was told that it was not a problem with the product but with our "training" of our tot. Now, our child is no angel, but she's better behaved than virtually every other child I know; she is simply too young to understand the danger of un-doing her belt and cannot be reasoned with yet. Graco should take some responsibility for making a car seat with a buckle that can be undone by a 22-month-old with small, weak, and uncoordinated hands.

Comments about Nautilus 3-in-1 Car Seat - Miley:

I have always been a Britax fan, but ordered this seat because it was a good value for our current needs. We wanted a seat that would grow with our child--24 months old, only 23 pounds. The Britax Frontier seats looked too big for her current size, and I also didn't want to buy a Britax Marathon or similar because we don't need the rear facing option any longer.
So far the seat is working well for us, and I have only two minor complaints.
1-I prefer the ease of installation that I am used to with Britax seats. This type of latch lock is just more difficult for me. Also, this is a seat my husband will need to install--I just couldn't pull the straps tight enough, whereas Britax seats I can usually do easily.
2-I am finding it difficult to put my daughter in the seat. The middle buckle falls down under her bottom as I am putting her in the seat-I can't seam to make it stay forward and out of the way. The same is true for the shoulder straps-they fall down behind her body. With Britax seats there is velcro on the sides that holds the straps out of the way.
Overall, I am happy with the seat!
