I was excited about these clips ("clippies" in our house) because they come in primary colors and they had the sparkly little flowers on them-- my 3 year old loved them immediately. Unfortunately they just didn't hold her hair back, and individual strands of hair get stuck in the flower and the joint, causing it to pull when I took the clips out.
My daughter's hair is fine and straight, so it does take a sturdy clip to hold it back, and these may not have worked well because the flower decorations are just too heavy to be supported by her soft baby hair. A little girl with curly or more textured hair may have better luck with these than we did. It was too bad because they are cute
