Comments about Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy:

I really enjoyed this book. I have always known that I would have children and was very excited for that but preganancy scared me, honestly I was not thrilled when I found out I was pregnant, even though we were trying. I felt like life as I knew it was changing and I wasn't ready for that. This book helped put things in perspective, it lightened my mood and didn't scare me with all the things I couldn't do. I even passed it along to fellow pregnant girlfriend and she loved it too. Easy read, enjoyable, light.

Comments about Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy:

I can't speak to the accuracy of everything she writes, but still found this book to be absolutely hysterical! I read it late into my first pregnancy, which I recommend because you've already been through what she talks about. I laughed SO hard SO many times - that was the best medicine for being pregnant! I plan to buy a copy of this for all my future first-time pregnant friends.

I read a lot of the book on airplanes and it took everything in me to not burst out cracking up in front of people in a quiet setting! I don't remember the last time I've laughed so hard.

Like others mentioned, I wouldn't use this as a true source of information, but as a supplement to make light and laughter of a new life event.

Comments about Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy:

This book had insightful info and is written in a way that a girlfriend would be giving you this info. It is interesting, funny and graphic at times. However it is subjective information based on her own experiences and opinions, it should not replace books like What to Expect... and others. Would suggest as supplemental reading.

Terrible advice! do not waste your money

Comments about Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy:

I got this book as a gift and I find the advice horrible, to the point where it criticizes women that exercise during their pregnancy when it's proven it helps both mother and child. This book was written by someone who should not be writting books on pregnancy, do some research and then give advice.
It's horrible, do not waste your time and money on this book if you want to feel good about yourself and have a happy pregnancy.

The author is straight forward in a comical sense and makes you feel aware about what will really happen in pregnancy and labor.
