the product is good. it serves it's purpose, i've read other reviews complaining about the smell. i must agree. the smell is VERY STRONG! it's concerning how strong that smell is :(

This mat sticks pretty well in the bath tub and the design is cute. However, Elmo's could easily be peeled off by kids so watch out. It is not a big bath mat but fits perfectly well in my twins small bath tub. I suggest buying a larger mat or two of the above Elmo mats if you have a big bath.

This is the perfect bath mat. Not only does it provide our bath tube with a non-slip surface, but my twins love it, because of the fun design. As soon as it arrived my twins put it into the tub and sat in the tub, wanting to take a bath!!! While some may say that the mat has a slick surface, the Elmo decals keep the mat from being slick, because they are raised. Overall, I love it, and so do my kids.

The mat did have a plastic odor at first, I soaked it in soapy water and it went away. My son is 10 months old and loves taking a bath and this bath mat works great for our bath tub.

We have had ours for years and are now replacing it. As long as you hang it up after each use, it takes a while to get mildew on it. It only gets mildew under the elmos. It has lost a couple Elmos but overall it is still in good shape. The only downside is it is impossible to clean the mildew from under the elmos. Other than that, it's a great mat. We are ordering a new one now (after 2 years with our first). All bath mats get mildew, you just have to make sure to hang it up after each use.

i bought this for my son and he kept complaing saying it hurt to sit on the pictures, because they bump up. also water and soap scum would get underneath the decails and would leave mold. it was horrible. i had to throw it out and get a new bath mat.

Too small for my regular-sized bathtub. After a few days of son slipping on exposed areas, went out and bought larger, non-slip mat at [...]. Does not have Elmo, but covers entire tub.

I read the first review and almost did not get this because of it... But my 18 month old son hates standing in the shower and is obsessed with Elmo so much that I figured it was worth a try. And I was really glad that I did! It hardly smells at all, is super cute, and even has holes placed for water to drain under/through it. Mt son is wild about it! It really holds onto the shower floor well, but not so strong that I can't peel it back off to clean it. Did I mention it is really cute? A great size for our standard shower, and it actually works, even with a clumsy 25 pound toddler tap dancing in the spray of the water upon it. No more slips here. I would recommended it.

This mat smelled so strong that we had to throw it away. I expect a little plastic smell from PVC / Vinyl products, but this was truly awful. My son loved the Elmo design so we used it for a few days hoping it would air out and be ok. It wasn't. It made the entire bathroom stink. I took it outside and let it air out for a few more days. No good. It has been over a month and is is still terrible. I am throwing it way. I bet the other ones from the same manufacturer are just as bad, unfortunately no one has reviewed them yet.
