The screws will start stripping out almost immediately. Then, after one month the dowel on one side of the lid busted out. (No, the kids were not jumping on it!) For this much money, I am disgusted. Don't buy this one!

I think my two youngest just learned a word I hope they don't repeat. The screws are cheap and will strip before you are halfway done screwing them in. Also the holes are not drilled completely so I didn't even get the screws for the lid mechanism screwed in completely (only halfway)and I am a strong woman. I am going to the hardware store to get better screws. With a little more time and quality screws the manufacturer could make this a great product.

The first Gift Mark toy box I received arrived already splintered at the lid of the toy box where the manufacturer had assembled the wooden pegs. I had a second one shipped to me, [...] but within 3 weeks of using it, the lid splintered at the wooden peg again. I would not recommend buying this product because it has manufacturer defects.
