We were sent home with Similac from the hospital, After finding out I couldn't breastfeed and was traumatized. On the 5th day Our son cried his head off because of stomach discomfort and gas. We went to a Dr's. appointment and was switched to Enfamil Gentlease. He was fine for the first couple days then always acted hungry cried during the feeding and after and took up to 45 mins to eat 3 ounces. We were then told to switch to Gerber Gentle and our baby is so much more content. He seems happier, smiles all the time, laid back and takes regular naps, (he didn't before) and now, after being on it about a month he sleeps through the entire night most nights. We have even heard others whom don't know our son say how good of a baby he is, so surprising. He's a happy kid and we are so lucky to have such a good spirited little boy!

To start off I only gave it 4 stars because I do not think any formula rates 5. But this is really a great formula and the best we found.

My wife and I tried multiple formulas because our newborn twins were having a hard time with stomach pain, gas, and spitting up. We tried a couple different Enfamil products and they just did not cut it. Either too much spitting up, constipation or pooping 3 times a day. Our babies would cry for hours a day. Once we made the switch to Gerber Gentle they were completely different babies. They now sleep comfortably and are happy smiling babies when they are awake.

After reading prior reviews people talked about gas and other things. All formula will cause some amount of gas and babies need to pass gas to be healthy anyways.

It has been a lifesaver for us and definitely worth a try if you are experiencing any of the issues I listed.

Our baby was 7 weeks premmature and had bad reflux which he was medicated for. From birth until 3 months he was on Enfacare for prem babies as it has a lot more calories to help with putting on weight. Then once we were allowed to try a different formula our pediatrician suggested this one as it's meant to be the most broken down/easily digested formula on the market which was to help with his reflux. From the very first day we switched him on to it, the most amazing thing happened, he started sleeping through the night!! I cannot say enough good things about this formula, except it doesn't smell that great, but no formula does, plus it takes a bit to dissolve, but all worth it to have a sleeping baby!

This is by far the best formula for my son. It mixes easily and the container is very easy to use. The diapers.com price is much cheaper than the price at my usual retailer.

This was the formula that was sent home with us from the hospital. My son has been on it since 4 months. He was very fussy when he was breastfeeding and had terrible acid reflux. I put him on this formula 100% and he is SO much better! Too bad formula is SO expensive :( These companies are totally taking advantage of us!

The product is great. They changed the package in the name of "improving" it but made it smaller, raised the price and its hard to get the last of the product out of the package.

I love this formula for my DD. But what's with the new packaging? First of all, it costs more for less! Thanks a lot Gerber. Second, the packaging is plastic. Just what I want touching my baby's powdered formula. I get way too nervous about chemical leaching. And lastly, they did away with the disk thing you use to level off the scoop. ugh. Bad idea.

I've had the most difficult time trying to get my 6 month old to take formula, but he gobbles this stuff down. I am disappointed with the price increase, but overall this is a great formula. Plus I am comfortable with the ingredients and that is very important to me.

My six month old has been on this formula for two months and has never had any problems. However, I'm annoyed the packaging change has increased the price and reduced the ounces. A double wammy. Whose brilliant marketing idea was that? Where's my cost of living raise because it seems I'm having to pay a lot more for everything these days.

We've been using Gerber Good Start for almost 9 months and my twins are doing well with it. But I am very disappointed to find that with the new packaging they decreased the amount of formula and increased the price!
