I've been using Gerber Good Start Gentle Plus from the start. My daughter is now 9 weeks old. She was fed the ready to feed nurser bottles in the hospital with the Gerber nipples that fit the bottles. She was gasey in the hospital but I believe it was from the nipples. I use Playtex bottles and since I've been home with her I haven't had any gas/spit up issues. The only time she has spit up was when she didn't burp or if I jiggled her around too much after feeding. I have also used the powder and she prefers the liquid concentrate which I feed on a regular basis. When I gave her a bottle with the powder she would gag...even if it was warmed up. I felt it was more of a hassle to take a powder ball and bottles of water and bottles with me in my diaper bag. And a hassle to make just an additional ounce if she is still hungry. I've never had any problems with spoiling, staining, spitting up or constipation. I just use the pre-filled ready to feed nurser bottles when I'm out and about. If I'm out at a friend's house for the day then I use the ready to feed cartons that are 8.5 ounces. She is currently eating on average 3 ounces a feeding, so this system works well for me. Once she is drinking more, then a full ready to feed carton would be good when I'm out. They are much more expensive than if I were to just fill bottles from the concentrate, but it's the convenience factor. I can take a few nurser bottles with me, once Playtex bottle, a few drop in liners and extra nipples. The only bad thing is that I was not able to find the Gerber nipples anywhere that fit the nurser bottles. But the nurses in the hospital gave me like 3 dozen and if you wash and sterilize they are good to reuse. But the are much harder and let in more air, so after using my Playtex nipples, my little one refused the Gerber nipples.
