gDiapers Newborn Bundle

gDiapers Newborn Bundle is the perfect way to get started with gDiapers from day one. The Newborn Bundle includes newborn gPants, size small gPants, and Disposable inserts that you can flush, compost (wet ones only, please) or toss. gPants are reusable diaper covers that you can use again and again. Swap out the insert with it's dirty and replace with a new one. gPants are perfectly sized for a trim fit from newborn to toddler. gPants are made of highlight technical fabrics that not only keep messes contained, but are also breathable, so diaper rash is kept at bay.

Includes:

  • 12 Newborn gPants: perfectly sized for brand new babyies from 6 - 10 lbs. Newborn gPants snap down in the front for the umbilical cord to heal. A gently leg trip lets tiny legs curl up naturally.
  • 6 Small gPants: when baby has outgrown the Newborn gPants, the size Small will be there for a trim and comfortable fit for up to 14 lbs.
  • 80 Small Disposable Inserts: use inside the Newborn gPants or the Small gPants for a disposable diaper you can flush, compost (wet ones only, please) or toss
  • 1 Swishstick: a handy tool for those who choose to flush the Disposable Inserts

Comments about Newborn Bundle:

I remembered seeing products from the gDiaper system years ago, well before starting a family, and thinking it was a great idea. So far, in practice, I've haven't been let down either. I started by registering for the newborn bundle with plans to use it ASAP after my son was born and began using the newborn sized diapers around 1 week (~8 lbs). The quantity included (12) was just right for doing laundry loads every other day and my only gripe is that the 6 smalls included weren't quite enough when he went up a size (I bought 3 more + 6 extra liners) and I'm not a huge fan of the standard styles included (orange, green and print on white; this last is MUCH more prone to staining). On the whole the disposable inserts I've used flush well one at a time, hold A LOT of pee, and are better than any disposables I've used about containing poop though the liners can get messy and may need a rinse before going in the laundry. In the 2.5 months of near exclusive use he's blown out of one enough to mess his clothes; the disposables we use on weekends at my in-laws' I can't say the same for. His skin has also stayed soft and rash free in these, where as even with the eco-friendly, plastic-free disposables he always seems to develop a touch of redness after more than a day's use. Just be prepared with the gDiaper system that it's not as well suited to lots of pee during waking hours because baby's movements bunch the inserts and if baby pees again it might not hit the insert and will wet the gPant. For me this has rarely been bad enough to soak his clothing and I just switch to a new gPant with the next change (normally I just swap liner & insert, which I put together several at a time once a day to speed changes). Sizing was on target too as my son managed to wear the NBs until just over 10 lbs. Smalls are still absolutely fine at 13 lbs and I plan to give him another month in those before purchasing a medium bundle.

Great design, scraping plastic poppers

    Comments about Newborn Bundle:

I like the design and the fit of the outer pants. However, the inside waterproof part is not that good. Our problem is the four plastic poppers that hold the waterproof part of the diaper with the outer one. Especially the two in the front make scrapes on the legs. I have no idea how else I should put the diaper on to somehow cover these. I am using medium size for nearly 7 kg heavy baby, so the size should be ok.

        Comments about Newborn Bundle:

i really believed in the concept of this product but the design is seriously flawed. i was in denial how awful this product was designed. as someone who designs activewear, i am familiar with construction of garments for next to skin. the corners of the velcro in front of the gpants are too thick & square shape for a little baby (even me!) -- & will dig into their skin. you need a toilet with a good flush & don't mind getting your fingers covered with pee & poo with every diaper change. it's just complicated & not easy. more laundry also which is not eco-friendly. the g-refills are so ridiculously expensive it is not practical, plus you have to buy all new g-pants after you go through the size small & again a major "investment." stick with 7th generation disposables. they are comfy, eco-friendly & leak proof & far less wasteful. only buy this if you want to spend an unnecessary fortune & have you baby wear something that digs into their lower belly skin!!

          Comments about Newborn Bundle:

We bought these for our daughter before she was born and could not be happier. She was a skinny 6 lb, 4 oz baby, and she wore the tiny gs until she was approximately 9 lbs at 7 weeks. Now she is in the small gs and we are just as happy. She's a pee machine, and soaks through a disposable in under an hour (the two biggest national brands). Also, her runny breast fed poop has never escaped these, but always escapes her disposables. As a clenched, her bottom isn't irritated by the disposable inserts the way it is by disposable diapers. We absolutely loved this package as well as the sweet bundle for girls. Note: we put them on her "backwards" starting when her umbilical cord fell off. It's easier when the Velcro is in front.

I have been a loyal gdiaper customer I've used them for my now 19 month old and today received my newborn bundle for my newborn due any day now only to find most of the Velcro is not sewed on all they way on the diapers. This is EXTREMLY irritatIng considering I have no time to return and wait for another to ship. I'm sure the next would have the same problem. Gdiapers quality has defiantly gone down since I've purchased my last ones. I'll be looking for a new brand.

                  Comments about Newborn Bundle:

We are longtime users of gDiapers. Our three-year-old son is just potty-training out of them. Newborn gDiapers were not available when he was born, so I was so excited when gDiapers created these. We have used them non-stop for the first week of our new son's life, and I have been very pleased. The quality of the fabric, the thickness of the breathable plastic lining, the elastic closures/adjustability of the fit, and the softness of the elastic that goes around the leg are all extremely high quality and well designed. I believe that those who have had trouble with fit may need to experiment more with how they place them. These diapers are different from disposables. To avoid leaks (we have had just one--far fewer than we had with disposable diapers in the first week with our first son) we make sure the diaper is high on our son's waist and that the elastic around the tiny legs is pulled in to the crease between his bottom and his leg. It is that easy! Love being able to flush all those diapers away. No diaper pail! No diaper rash! LOVE gDiapers.

                  Comments about Newborn Bundle:

This pack is of good value for all that is included. The big issue is that the g-pants are not really waterproof and we got leaks everysingle time we used the tiny-g's, it was a little bit better with the small g-pants but still very often they got so wet we had to change all the cloths of our baby and even our own clothes got wet! They are easy to use, fit well and look great, but we ended up getting a waterproof cover to put on top. So add that to the price, plus the fact that our baby overgrow them pretty quikly. After trying many different options including FuzziBums I am going for a One Size diper system, Flip from cotton babies seems to be doing the job.

                  Comments about Newborn Bundle:

This is no doubt a good value, considering the fact that the g cloths can be used for the next size g diaper - the small. They are adorable, to boot. However, I found that the diapers leaked unless I used the biodegradable inserts; the g cloth is only "right" for the small g pants, from what I've observed, and unfortunately the small g pants only lasted me a month before she started soaking through them after an hour and a half. The tiny g pants are true to their name -- they are very fitted (they run on the smaller size) but at times I would see some redness along the inner leg by her groin, undoubtedly from the leg bands. The other drawback with this brand is the lack of an overnight solution. For these reasons, I could not recommend these cloth diapers considering the fact that there are several other, better newborn cloth diapers out there.

My husband and I love the gdiaper system! They fit great! They wash up really well. The liners do stain a bit but i don't mind since nobody sees them at all. My daycare provider even enjoys using them since they are so easy.

We like that you do not have to change the whole diaper each time sometimes only the pad and a quick wipe to the snap in liner and your good for a fresh dry liner.

Very little bulk compared to some of the AIO that we have tried.

Very absorbant even for my heavy wetter, have had a few leaks but nothing that we hadn't already experienced with regular diapers. These have saved us a load of $ already and I can't wait to use them on our next baby!

All in all a Great Product!!!!

It came with two large packs of inserts, two packs of 6 x-small g pants, 2 small g pants and four other colored pairs. I didn't realize it was going to include so much. From a cost standpoint I highly recommend this starter kit!
I received it with in two days which was also nice!

I purchased the newborn bundle with the fear that the small gpants would be too big and would leak. I had a 9 pound baby and the tiny gpants would not fit from day 1. I would not recommend wasting your money on these as the small gpants adjust very well from 9-14 pounds.

I wanted to try out the cloth diaper/disposable system on my baby girl. She was born 7lb14oz and the Newborn diapers NEVER fit her! She was average size- so I'm very disappointed & feel like I was ripped off. I thought the newborn diapers were so cute looking & I really wanted her to wear them, but they just cut into her thigh & left a red mark. I'm now using the regular Small Gdiapers that came with the system, but I am still disappointed about the Newborn diapers that I never got a chance to use.

I have used gDiapers on my baby girl for 3 months now. We tried the tiny's but she seemed too long for them so we never did get the right fit. Other people love them though so I recommend trying them out if you're interested! We used the smalls from the moment her umbilical cord fell off until she moved up to mediums (4 weeks until 3 months). We are now in the mediums. I absolutely love the fit, ease and look of the gDiapers. I have no interest in trying other types out and would absolutely recommend these to anyone wanting to cloth diaper! If you're interested in trying the tiny's, this is a great deal!

Also- there is a facebook group for gDiapers with great information and advice! You can also call gHQ and they have super helpful workers. It is a really great company and product!

a great alternative to traditional disposables. It is a hybrid of washing cloth diapers and tossing disposables. The "HUG" information guide is great! Sizing seems to really adjust to meet your baby's needs. Looking forward to growing with the

If you tuck the material down for the umbilical cord the huge rectangle of velcro scratches you baby's belly up, It also made our baby's umbilical bleed at the bottom..I was not a happy mommy. After her cord fell off we tried using them again, and noticed the bottom corners of the same huge rectangle of velcro were scratching her inner legs. To top it all off I tried to flush the "flushable" insert into my toilet, my sister's toilet, and my mother's toilet and it would not flush in any of them I had to unclog the toilets and dig it out to throw it in the trash. I feel like I wasted [$]. So in short don't waste your money. Inserts don't flush, and even if they did, the diaper scrapes your baby and makes her bleed. Aweful product!
