Overall we love the functionality of the cup - however there is a small vent hole in the top of the straw and if it tips over whatever is in it will spill out at a pretty good rate if the lid isn't snapped shut. I consider "leak proof" not to leak if tipped over or turned upside down.

Nice Capacity.
Easy to disassemble and clean all parts.
LOVE that the lid flips open and closed- entire drinking area is covered.
My 22 month old is using it now.
Does sweat, so get the insulated version if you like cold drinks.
There is no 'valve' so it will leak a bit when open and tipped.

sturdy straw cup. It can withstand the many drops and throws that my daughter can do while still remaining leak free, which is hard to find in a straw zippy cup! We are very pleased and I plan on buying more if the same style!

We use this thermos for drinks but most often for our daughter's smoothies. The straw is perfect for drinking a thicker drink, its easy to clean, put together and easy for her to open and close herself. Yes, if the thermos falls over on its side, it will eventually drip a tiny bit out, but that has never been a problem for us. I hate most sippie cups b/c they require so much suction from the child just to extract drink/liquid, that is not the case for this almost non-leaking drink bottle. We came back to buy a second.

Great straw cup! Of course it leaks if you leave the lid off...it is a straw... That's why they give you a lid to keep that from happening. This is by far one of the best cups I have found. Easy to clean and assemble. My daughter can easily open and close the lid.

If you accidentally leave this cup's top open and it tips over, as sippy cups often do, it will leak...a lot.
