I have purchased three Foogo Tritan Straw Cups over the past 2.5 years for my daughter and absolutely love them.

We have two standard bottles and one insulated Thermos bottle and they do exactly what you'd expect from a company like Thermos. They are sturdy and well built and easy for kids to hold, open and close. My daughter won't go out without hers.

One thing I will point out: DO NOT over tighten the tops; this leads to weakening the seal on the underside of the top. If you consistently over tighten, the seal undernearth starts to lossen and become too flexible. This leads to the stop seal on the topside to start to turn and leave an opening where leaks will happen.

Only tighten until it's snug and you're good.

Also, make sure when you wash them that you take the whole thing apart. Take out all the rubber pieces and plastic straw and wash them separately. Mold will build up under the lid if you don't.

As an extra step - separate all the pieces and drop them in boiling water for 5min 1-2x a month. This makes sure your bottles stay super clean of mold and mildew.

I tried several straw bottles for our 2yo. These are by far the best. We've been using them everyday since she is about 1 1/2 and now we have 5 of them in different colors. Great quality, they get thrown and used every day and are still in great condition. The cap is easy to flip open and the suction doesn't have to be too strong. Love that the straw is actually wide enough for homemade smoothies, liquid yogurts and juices with pulp, unlike other bottles with narrow straws that will allow only water or pulp-less juices (Skip Hop for instance)to be sipped.
I have recommended these to other moms and they love them too.

I love that this cup doesn't look 'baby-ish' and it is the perfect size for my 2 yr old. I really like the pop-open/snap-shut lid feature. The straw is also very easy to sip from. I also like how easy it is to wash by hand (I can easily fit my hand into the cup because of the wide-mouth open design) It is also dishwasher safe. I really like that measurements are clearly visible on the side of the cup so I know exactly how much my child is drinking. I love that I can throw this cup in my diaper bag and not worry about it leaking. It's perfect for on-the-go.

I read other reviews where people complained about it not being leak-proof.Here is the deal: It does leak (in the open position only) but ONLY if you completely turn the cup upside down (from the tiny hole on the lid and it drips a bit through the straw) However if the lid is closed, it is 100% leak-proof!! It clearly states that in the directions that come with the cup. "Cup is leak-proof ONLY when in the lock position." I understand that it does not say that under the description of the cup on the website, which I think is why people are mislead by the 'leak-proof' claim.

But for me, the fact that it leaks when turned completely upside down is not an issue because my 27 month old handles the cup properly. (He holds it upright, somewhat at least) So with normal and proper use, it does NOT leak. Even when tilted to the side, it does not leak. Only 'leaks' when completely turned upside down and truly, only when it's under 7oz full.
