This cup does keep beverages cold, but the straw is a little weird. Because the top bends the straw, it doesn't really stand up straight when it is open.

this is a must if you live in a warm weather area. you don't have to worry about plastic getting warm and it keeps your child's water/liquid cold. doesn't have a million parts so easy to clean by hand or dishwasher. if you keep the lid shut when not using it it won't leak. not for smaller children, use the model with the spout instead of straw for little ones.

This is the best sippy/drinking cup. This and the non-insulated Thermos cup. Straws are better for the little ones teeth and developing the muscles around the mouth. We really really recommend this product!

I was looking for an insulated sippy to pack milk in my 3 year old lunch for daycare. this cup leaked after the first week. the straw is one piece part included in the seal. the seal stays wet and gets slimy in one day. Leak does not mean just a drip in this case. I threw it away.

The straw design is not very good it leaks if you do not snap the lid shut (when my baby throws it on the seat we get a puddle of milk). It does keep the milk cold, which is why we purchased it. However, every time she takes a sip the straw pops out of her mouth and sprays her face, her eyes and the car interior with whatever she is drinking. She now hates getting sprayed and will not even use the cup.
It may be okay for an older child who can securely close the lid each time and knows to pull his head back before letting go of the straw. I would NOT recommend this for a younger child.

We've had this cup for about two weeks now and its held up better than many of the other reviews stated. We even took it on a 9 day car trip and to the beach and back several times. It has been dropped and thrown and has not come apart, and amazingly was not all scrathced up by a week in the sand. Keep water ice cold almost all day.

I am always looking for a good leakproof cup to send in my 3 year olds lunch box to daycare. This one is great until it tips over. It is top heavy so it tips over easily. The straw part turns sideways when you tighten the lid making the leaking worse. We have been using it about three weeks now and the lid turns past the tightest spot so it won't stay tightened down. On the upside, any milk that has not leaked out is still cold when I clean it out at the end of the day. I am going back to my platex leakproof cups and ice packs.

I've tried a number of different straw drinking cups and am very pleased with this one. I like that it can keep the milk cold for a long time (good for when we're on the go), and best of all it doesn't leak.

I heard great things about the Foogo products...so I bought the sippy cup, the straw bottle and the food jar for an upcoming trip we were taking. When we went through the security line at the airport I was so upset to see that all three containers leaked all over my diaper bag! Milk was everywhere! I gave it a 2nd try though, thinking I just didn't do something right...nope, they leaked again. [...]

We have a whole lot of these and have used them for at least 3 years. My son loves them and won't drink milk any other way. I fix several a day and he helps himself. He brings one in his lunch to school and we haven't had any leaks. They stay cold all day. When my son was younger he did chew on two of the straws until I didn't think they were safe, so we discarded them. My 3 year old Down Syndrome son did throw one across the room, smashing into a wall and broke a lid, but he threw it extremely hard onto a hard surface, so it is probably to be expected. We wash the bases in the dishwasher and they have held up well. One of them had the base come off after 3 years of daily dishwashing, but it reattached easily and we've continued using it. If milk sits in it and spoils, the straw is a little difficult to clean. I wish they included a brush for the straw. We got cleaning brushes with our Doctor Brown's bottles that I use for cleaning these, so I haven't had any problems.

I loved this cup, especially for going out, until the little yellow button popped out. It sets back in easily, but the lid no longer latches. It still works fine for home use, but I can't let my son hold it on his own (since he drops cups frequently) and it's iffy for travel (since it could tip over). That said, it has never leaked for us and I like it enough to buy a replacement lid or two.

This thermos worked great for the first week. Kept the drinks cold and my son loved to use it. But only one week after I got it, the clasping mechanism in the yellow button on the lid just snapped off! The thermos is useless if it can't seal shut - it's like a bottle with no cap. It didn't see any super tough conditions, just normal life with a toddler. When I called Thermos about it, they said they would ship me a new lid THIS TIME (doing me a favor) but even if it broke the next day I would have to buy a new lid for $2. That seems shady to me - clearly there are issues with this clasp, but after buying the product it's your problem. So we'll use it again when the new lid arrives until it breaks, then probably chuck it. I can't really recommend this to others.
