I tried these with our 3 month old infant and I found the insert not to be very absorbent - I found myself needing to change her every hour. I considered using 2 inserts but it seemed to hot for my daughter. In addition, I don't think the covers breath very well - inside the diaper felt moist and humid and her diaper rash worsened using them for a day. I think they are overpriced for what they are and you are probably better off using the simple tri folds and another cheaper cover that breathes. We actually went back to disposables because they were more absorbent, breathe better and my daughter didn't seem as hot underneath the diaper. Also, the inserts are not so great for poop. Every poop our daughter had ended up on the cover which defeats the purpose of using a separate cover and inserts. Lots of laundry.

I have been using the Flips since my baby outgrew the small Gdiapers and I am very happy with them. Unlike the previous reviewer, I have never had a problem with the bunching up. It may have been that they weren't "snapped" to the proper size? just a guess. But, I have been very happy. We have very few leaks - just a few when she started guzzling milk before bedtime, but we have solved this issue by using a dispoable insert on top of the stay dry insert. A little bulky when you do that, but using the sposie insert also allows me to slather on the desitin without ruining my diapers.

Hints:
ALWAYS use Rockin Green Detergent, you will have no diaper funk. Rinse before washing, Rinse twice AFTER washing.

ALWAYS line dry, they will last longer

NEVER use desitin on the Stay Dry liner. If you need to use diaper cream, use California Natural Baby or Method Baby, they won't ruin your diapers.

And, if you want some disposable inserts, use the Gdiapers ones. They aren't as soft as the flip disposables, but they are super absorbant,and wider. my baby never seems to notice that they aren't as soft...actually, she doesn't seem to care one bit.

Why 4 stars instead of 5?? Well, it's really odd, but the "Zinnia" color have looser elastics than the other colors. Also, I bought some BumGenius also, and I love love them even more than my flips. I have about 12 of each and use the Flips at home and BumG's for daycare (less user error in putting them on properly - see above re: bunching).

we bought this to try a different overnight option on our 8 month old girl who pees alot at night. we used 2 inserts at a time, still had to change the diaper out 1/2 way through the night, and she got awful diaper rash. plus the snaps are a pain in the middle of the night when you are dead asleep. the plus for this brand, is that even though they were full to the brim with urine, they didn't leak. i'll be selling these on [@] if i can.

The covers are great, the insert is super absorbant....BUT when put together, all they did was bunch up on my toddler. I didn't have any leaks, but when I went to change her, they were bunched up, and all she did was pull at the diaper while it was on, I knew it must have been uncomfortable. I would not recommend the FLIP System to anyone, unless they have an infant that isn't mobile. They would've worked better had they have snap in liners or something to hold them in place.

I purchased this starter pack because I became annoyed with disposable diapers. The little tiny gel beads would cover my daughter's bottom, and I would get frustrated that name brands would leak and the side velcro tabs would sometimes rip right off. The Flip diapering system has completely changed my view on cloth diapers. I've been using them now for over a month on my 19 month old. I am amazed at just how absorbent these diapers are. The cloth insert wicks moisture away from babies skin, and the underneath layer absorbs quite a bit of urine. I would recommend checking and changing the diaper if it's wet - every two hours during the day. I put a dry insert in right before naptime and bedtime, and I have had NO leaking! Occassionally, my daughter's elastic band on her pjs dips into the diaper and becomes damp with urine. I've changed quite a few bowel movements as well, and simply shook out the insert and rinsed multiple times in the toilet. After a bowel movement I change the diaper cover as well -- even though you can wipe out the diaper cover, the smell seems to remain trapped in the diaper until it's run through the washer. No problems with diaper rash, and washing has been easy thus far the zinnia color has held well and not bled!

I bought this day pack as a trial to see if I would like cloth diapering. The Flip system made it so simple! Love the inserts, so far NO LEAKS and she has taken a 3 hour nap in them! They fit great on my 6 week old that is 11 lbs. They did stain even after rinsing & pretreating but the other reviews said no staining so I may just need to try different laundry soap.

I have a two month old and a two year old. It fits both girls perfectly. I use two stay dry liners for my older daughter at night, and one during the day. She's a frequent wetter so sometimes I'll use gDiaper refills instead of the stay dry pad. She does get pee on the liner but I wipe it and it dries right up. My younger daughter does great on it too. She sometimes gets [*] on it but I wipe it off and airdry it. It has not leaked with both girls.

These diapers are fantastic! I just started using them on my newborn (7.5lbs) after her cord healed. They fit great on the smallest setting, keep her dry and contain all the messes. Breastfeeding stool washes out with no fuss and no pre-treatment needed. I am using the Thirsties Pre and Super Wash detergents which leave the inserts sparkling white and odor free. In just one week the savings is incredible over the disposables we had to use when her cord was still on.

I like the cotton diapers slightly better than these because they do not tend to shift as much as these do. However, they are very absorbent and the diapers themselves contain the mess. I have had no leaks since using these diapers. Love them!!!! I like how trim these are compared to the FLIP cotton diapers. I am very pleased with my purchase.

My husband and I can't say enough good things about the Flip System! We have been using them on our daughter since she was 7 months old and she is now 14 months. They wash up great - no stains! They are super soft and absorbent and so easy to use. They work awesome at night with two inserts, also! They are trim and a great fit. I also have an organic insert that I love as well and have tried the disposable inserts that work great also. Can't say enough great things about the Flip! They are so easy, so cute, and affordable! I can't even come up with a con! I am definitely going to use them for child number 2 when the time comes!!

I love this diaper on my daughter! I love that it is so easy to use, you just take the insert and put it in the cover and snap it to the correct size! I even use them when I'm out with the family, and just carry a wet bag for wet diapers. These are my go to diapers, I hate using anything else. So far these are the least bulky and the ones her clothes fit well with. I didn't start using these until she was 15 lbs so I'm not sure how it would function on a newborn, but her size worked wonderfully!

I started using this system about a month ago and am very pleased. I am using the Flip system on my third child and used pampers on my first two. They wash well, look comfortable and do not leak during the day. I have only tried them a couple times at night. I only used one interst, two seems way to thick. My daughter sleeps on her stomach and it did leak. I even tried folding it in the front instead of the back. I also wish the disposable inserts were wider.

As a first time mom, I thought cloth diapering would be a hassle, but these are SO EASY! You can usually use one shell per day and just change the insert (unless the shell gets soiled). Since you re-use the shell, they are a lot cheaper than all-in-one diapers. They wash really well too! I liked them so much I bought two more day packs so that we can use them all the time. They are going to save us a lot of money in the long run, and are good for the environment too!

These are great - they're easy to use, not too pricey, generate less laundry than all-in-ones, and less fiddly than prefolds. The covers can be reused from change to change. They sometimes need to be laundered after a poo, so I go through on average 1 cover a day. If an insert is very wet I'll rinse the cover off in the sink, but it dries quickly.

The inserts are easy to rinse off but still absorbent. My daughter isn't crawling yet but she wiggles her butt a lot and they seem to contain everything - I haven't had any leaks. I've only been using them for 3 months but they seem durable so far.

I love this system. I went from using huggies diapers to using flip cloth in over a weekend. I love the colors of the covers. I have had no color bleeding issues with the covers. I even got my Husband to try them the second weekend we had them. The inserts wash and dry really fast. I plan on buying more.
