      No slouching!

      By V

      Comments about Zen Collection Highchair:

Great high hair. Fits in with decor, super easy to clean(just throw pads and straps in washing machine once a week, and easy to operate. But the best feature is how upright my now16 month old is in it. We have used many other high chairs at family/friends home and I can stand how much he lounges back in them...I can stand it and am so happy to come home to ours. Removable tray is a wash once they turn 9 months, and yes water can get in the tray but you just hold down the tab on front and hold on its side and the water will come out. And we just roll him up to the table now, don't even use the tray anymore. Great chair!

        Comments about Zen Collection Highchair:

I first owned the Chicco Adventure high chair and liked some things about it, but it was very hard to clean and was just overall way too big. This is the highchair I originally wanted, but was worried about purchasing it after reading the reviews. I'm so glad I sold my Chicco and bought this chair, and wish I'd never owned the Chicco.

This chair is everything that I could ask for in a chair. It's pretty, fits in with the decor of my home, fits both my 2 year old and my 9 month old, it's super compact and sits at the height of a normal kitchen table, has lots of padding for infants, and is contoured around your baby to minimize food droppings.

That said, no chair is perfect. They all are tough to clean when little ones smear food and spill stuff down the sides. The tray does take two hands to put on and off, but I've NEVER needed to do that while holding my son. I simply slide the tray forward and backwards, leaving it attached, to put my son in and out.

Of all the choices out there, this one fits our family best. Overall it's compact, stylish, and functional.

        Comments about Zen Collection Highchair:

I love this chair. I have not had any issues with water getting in the tray as previous reviewers have... although... I don't put it in the dishwasher much. One of my favorite parts is that you can remove the straps and wash them! Those things get so nasty! Everything wipes up very easily and the chair looks very stylish and could fit in with most decors.

        Comments about Zen Collection Highchair:

We received this from our baby registry. At first, I was very happy with the quality and stylish appearance. It's sturdy. However, after we've used it for a year now (our child is 18 months) we have to get a new high chair. Here are the problems we've encounterd after using this every day:

        (1) The top/removable tray is too removable
Our daughter was able to snap it off as soon as she turned 8 months old. This resulted in frequent tray/food drops and a lot of messes on the floor. Would be nice if FP made a way for parents to fasten it on (e.g., clamp) so little hands can't pop it off so easilly.

        (2) Bottom Tray Retains Water
Because the top tray always comes off, we ended up using the bottom permanent tray instead...that tray isn't dishwasher safe. So, you have to hand wash it in the sink...and water leaks in. There is no way to get the water out of the tray once it gets in. So, old stinky dishwater is always leaking out. The water that doesn't/can't leak out sits and stews in the tray, and ends up getting mildewy and stinky (swampy). And it causes the screws to rust.

We finally unscrewed the bottom tray yesterday to try to wash it out (even though this isn't recommended - there were springs, rusted screws, and spare parts everywhere!), and it was absolutely DISGUSTING inside...gross slime, rust, brown gunk. And this is what our child has been eating off of? And this is the muck that has been leaking out onto our child's lap? Could not possibly be sanitary.

So we have to throw it away, and either buy a replacement tray or a new high chair.

        (3) Doesn't fold well / difficult to store

This takes up a lot of space...doesn't fold well.

        Bottom line...don't buy it!

        Comments about Zen Collection Highchair:

This chair looks great. However, the height adjust feature falls down on the left side. My girl is small. She is 11 months and only 18.5 lbs. However, if she leans back too hard, the height adjust will fall down on the left side, leaving her sitting lopsided! It is not stable. I was disappointed because it's such a nice looking chair.

        Comments about Zen Collection Highchair:

I loved this high chair - at first. It looks great, it's stable, but older babies can easily remove the snap-on tray. That alone might not be so bad - you can use the tray table without the snap-on tray; however, no matter how carefully you wash the tray(it's not dishwasher safe!) water enters a cavity inside the tray via small holes on the underside that are used to attach it to the chair. It's impossible to get all the water out! The result - water slowly drips out on your little ones lap while they are eating and the tray eventually rusts. Now I have to buy another high chair for my 13 month old. What a waste of money!! Don't buy this if you are looking for something that will last!

        Comments about Zen Collection Highchair:

I got this high chair because it looked great and was recommended by the Baby bargains book. It really is great looking (for a highchair) and even though it still has a fair amount of plastic, it is pretty classy looking with the dark wood legs. I agree with the other reviewer that the tray can be a bit awkward to put on, but it is easy to take off and I like the tray insert that you can remove from the rest of the tray to put in the dishwasher or wipe down in the sink. I also like the two position straps for little babies or toddlers. Not sure what the other reviewer meant by cloth seat. The seat is plastic. The infant pads are faux suede, but it isn't hard to take apart to clean. I have been using this since our baby was 5 months. In conclusion, I love this chair and I'm not ashamed to have it as part of our dining room set :)

This is my 4th child and I've gone through my fair share of highchairs. The Zen is by far my favorite as there is nothing I don't like about it. The colors are beautiful, it's easy to clean and very functionable. Worth the extra hands down!

My husband & I both absolutely love this beautiful high chair. After hours of researching - he preferred a wooden one & I a comfortable one -- we found this one to be perfect. The high chair was easy to assemble & is extremely functional -- it is height-adjustable & easy to fold, has a 5-point harness, a washable seat cover, & a dishwasher-safe tray, & is just plain gorgeous (more plastic than wood but looks FANTASTIC). The only drawback is that the tray can be a little difficult to put on
