It is different from other typical swing or gliders by not putting too much pressure on newborn tummy. Our little one had reflex problems and any little pressure on her tummy would make her to throw up. Until we bought this product, we literally had to hold her all the time. Now, she sleeps only in this one.The only reason that I am giving 4 stars, is because of missing vibration options. This could have made this product a complete one for soothing the baby. I got this as a shower gift with my first daughter 4 years ago. We really liked it and so did she so we decided to keep it & use it with our newest addition. The motion is slow so it's nice for nap time, but I've found that both girls are easily bored with it. Also, I wouldn't say it's heavy, but it's bulky so I don't move it around a lot. I put batteries in it 4 years ago and haven't replaced them yet (although I hardly use the music feature). I wish the seat would raise more for longer use. My second child is 3 months and wants to be able to sit more upright so she has gotten less use than my first did. Overall, a decent product, but not a must have.

I had this for my second child and she literally slept in it for the first three months. Batteries last FOREVER!!! Great product...these should just be given away with every newborn child! ;)

This is perfect for when I need to take a shower and bring my baby girl in with me. She seems to be so cozy in it too. Anytime she is fighting sleep I lay her in it and she falls right to sleep! I don't even have to use the music or motion! She is 9 months old and we still use it!

This glider is great! My daughter slept in it from the day we got home from the hospital until she was 4 months old. She loved the side-to-side gliding motion!

it's hard to rock two colicy babies at once. The glider is soothing- not bouncy and can fit small to larger babies. I love ours. I bought 4 other types of bouncy seats by far this was the most soothing and great for naps

I like that it is very comfortable for my daughter and she really likes sleeping in it. I wish there was more toys to looks at or a mobile on it to entertain her more. She loves going side to side it. I actually love the fact it is easy to move around. It's not that heavy at all. I dont care to much for the music..cause 1. in our house she uses it in our living room and we have our tv going so u cant hear it anyways..and 2. She could care less about the music.

I agree with other users who state that this product is extremely slow. I thought we would get much better use of this product, but my baby really does not care for the glider.

My daughter loves to sit in her glider, she likes how it can go two directions. She frequently will nap in the glider. She plays with the animals that hang down, we have also added a hanging rattle.

I highly advise you not to purchase this product. I purchased three of them and all three have ripped. The glider has a piece a plastic covered by a very thin material that is used as the support for the babies back. As my babies reached 14 pounds, the material could no longer hold up and started to tear. Not come apart at the seams, it was actually cut by the plastic insert. Fisher Price was more than happy to replace all three covers, but it is not worth the time, money or frustration.

I received this as a gift. My daughter would not sleep unless I was holding her; until I got this glider. She is now six months old and she still uses it every day.

I got this for my newborn and my daughter is now 3 months old and still loves it. She has always fallen asleep in it easily and stayed asleep for longer periods of time then she does laying in the crib. She likes the little hanging bears. The music is a little loud and we do not use it much. There are 2 motions speeds. I would recommend this product without hesitation.

This has been by far the best gift I received for my new baby. The Glider has soothed her to sleep countless times, better than even holding her. It's also helped free me up for a couple of hours so I can get chores done while she gets a deep sleep.

This is the only thing my fussy baby will sleep in because she doesn't like sleeping flat on her back. She is 7 weeks old and still doesn't like her swing. Thank goodness for this product! It's great that the fabric is removable and washable. I only wish it was longer for her legs. The music can get annoying, but we use a CD player during the day, so it doesn't really matter. This is, by far, the best baby gear item we bought!
