This mat is perfect for a newborn and younger infants; smaller babies who don't move around much. My 7month old baby doesn't fit well on here (he's long) and he's way too active to just lay there and watch, I wish I would have gotten it a few months ago.

My 2 month old loves this, he likes to look at all the colors and hanging items. Although, it doesnt hold his attention for too long, when it doe,s he enjoys it. The music is entertaining as well as the lights that go along with it. However, the feature that activates with his movements does not work as it should. I was expecting it to acctivate when he moves but it doesnt so I just keep it on the continous music feature and let it play out. As for using it for tummy time, he could care less about the items that are there for now.

My son absolutely loves this playmat! He loves the bright colors of all the toys and he stares at himself in the mirror and just laughs and coo's.

This is a great activity mat. My son loves it! He really likes the butterflies. I do sort of wish that they moved on their own though. It also helps out with the dreaded tummy time which my 3 month old son does not like.

We purchased this gym for our little one and absolutely loved it because it kept her entertained. It was great when she was a newborn and was primarily on her back. Then as she got older, she loved to bat at the toys and look in the mirror. It was great for tummy time. It is light weight and easy to transport, which made it ideal for travel. The only downside is the music- much like any children's toy, it really starts to grate on your nerves after you have listened to the same song over and over, day in, day out.

This mat has kept my twin boys entertained since they were only weeks old! In the beginning, they would just stare at the lights overhead and as they got older, all the animals and hanging toys keep them occupied. The music isn't annoying at all, and my younger son is completely fascinated by the monkey! He'll just start at him and babble like he's telling him about his day...this is definitely worth the money. If you're thinking about buying it, don't hesitate!

I really like this gym and I looked at a lot before I purchased one for my daughter. She really seems to the lights and kicking and grabbing at the animals and looking in the mirror. I just wish it came with a few more animals to hang on it and the music had more variety...after a few minutes it gets annoying to me but not to her.

my baby lovessssss playing on her mat but one part of the rainbow (not the side with the giraffe) detaches.. you just pop it back in.. it still makes me a little nervous.. its possible i just got a defective one .. but i dont know..

I have been using this playmat since my daughter was 6 weeks old. She is now 5 1/2 months and she still LOVES it!!! She reaches for the toys,kicks them, coos and laughs at toys. The lights catch her attention as they flash different colors on and off. It keeps her entertained for hours!! I can finally get things done when she is on this mat because she loves it.

Lights and sounds keep my twins happily entertained. My daughter once giggled for over an hour on this thing! I do recommend adding a blanket underneath if you don't have carpet.

My daughter is nearly 4 months old. She likes the gym quite a lot. We put her in it and she loves to look at the animals, kick the rattles, listen to either the music or nature sounds, and to see the lights. I think I made a good choice in buying this gym.

This mat is a must for any new baby. The lights and music keep the baby's attention while they are still too young to grab the toys. Once they are older the movable toys make it ideal. My son will sit and play under it until he finally falls asleep. It has made it possible to do other things around the house and know that he is safe and well entertained. I would recommend it to anyone!
