      Choose another tub

      By NJMom

      from NJ

      Comments about Rainforest Bath Tub:

I registered for this tub,and am not happy with it for the same reasons as all of the others. It works great for the first month or so when your baby is essentially having sponge baths, but once they start to get a little bigger and don't necessarily need the infant net, it's completely uncomfortable. There is a ridge in the bottom of the tub that is very poorly placed. It digs right into the baby's lower back. My son is 6.5 weeks, just starting to hold his head up, and I'm now going to buy a new tub because he has basically outgrown the infant sling and can't sit in the tub comfortably.

        Comments about Rainforest Bath Tub:

I purchased this item consignment with all parts and pieces. I was hoping it would be more comfortable than the regular blue First Years tub. As my daughter quickly grew out of the Puj tub, I tried the netting feature for this tub. She just couldn't get comforatble. It didn't hold her in the right places. I did try to make adjustments to no avail. I tried it cautiously without the netting. It was okay for two baths. On the third she just tipped backwards! I thought surely I didn't something wrong and tried it again holding her more and it still tipped. She wasn't even terribly squirmy at the time. I will never use it again. I would not recommend it. Too many better options for a more successful bath and safer, too. I recommend the Munchkin Duck.

        Comments about Rainforest Bath Tub:

As another reviewer said, the in-between stage when baby is too big for sling and can't sit in the larger area makes this not such a great tub. The hard plastic in the middle of the tub makes it uncomfortable and they don't look comfortable at all.

        Comments about Rainforest Bath Tub:

This is great for newborns because the hammock cradles them so you don't have to hold a slippery newborn. however, when my son out grew the hammock, the tub didn't work for him. The back did not support his back and head and he kept leaning to the side.

        Comments about Rainforest Bath Tub:

I was really happy with this tub when I first got it for my newborn. After a while my baby got too big for it and there is no way to comfortably lay in the sling because there is a divider that pokes in the back! Good only for 1-2 months, I now purchased a bath tub stopper and give my baby a full size adult bath, which he likes much better! I gave this product an extra star because it is good for newborn use.

        Comments about Rainforest Bath Tub:

I got this before my son was born and it comes with a mesh thing that you can lay your baby in to barely dip them in the water and there is a divider that is used whe baby gets alittle older so he wont slip but when baby can't sit up without help it pokes into his back causing pain and redness. I would not reccomend for newborn use. Great for sitters though.

          Comments about Rainforest Bath Tub:

we have used this for the past 9 months for my daughter. It really helps her stay seated as well. Now she is ready to move out to the big tub, but we feel we got full use out of this and did not need to purchase additional products. Also it helped make her bath time lots of fun.
