I bought this swing because I had a list that said a baby needs a swing and this one was the right price and size. Sigh.. here is one of those things nobody seems to tell you until you have a baby.. there is a 90% chance your baby will hate that nice crib or other flat, still, sleeping service you bought and will refuse to sleep there. That's right, although you need to put your baby on their back to sleep, your baby is almost certainly going to hate sleeping on his/her back. So, you will resort to swaddling and swings to make sleep happen - probably both. Yes, most new parents let their baby sleep in the swing. Often this happens for months and actually almost all pediatricians approve of it. But you don't want the baby to sleep in this swing. This is a poorly padded bucket style swing. You want one of the nicely padded papasan type swings like the more expensive version of the Luv U Zoo or the Snugabunny by Fisher Price or a Graco one. Spend money on that and not on the crib. I know, I know.. you have a vision of your baby snoozing away in that designer crib. Probably. Not. Going. To. Happen. For. Months. As a real life new parent sleep (and lack thereof) will consume you and you will forget which colors match and what saves you a lot of space and focus on what makes the baby go to sleep so you can! This is not the swing for that.

On a side note, this swing swings pretty much fine and the vibrations are nice too. If you are sure you are actually just in need of a swing, this one will do you fine but I'd only buy it as an additional swing or after you have a baby sleeping well elsewhere.

I picked this item because it was small compared to so many other swings/vibrating seats and was both in one seat, and we didn't have a lot of space in our apartment when he was born. I was immediately thrilled with its size and also for its performance. The swing was easy to put together, while following their directions. It has fit my son well for 4 mo now, and we'll keep using it! It's true that there's not a ton of head support for a newborn, but we used a receiving blanket to help support his neck at the time and that worked very well for the short time in which it was needed. It's great that it both vibrates and rocks. The rocking seems like a pretty fast motion to me, even on the lowest speed, but he is not bothered by the pace. Sometimes he just hangs out in this seat without rocking or vibrating, but it makes for a great seat in which to prop him up after he's eaten or so he can join in watching us at dinner or he can sit and chew on some of his toys. Since the toys are in the seat with him he doesn't lose them like on the playmat. It's great that there's music too -not too many songs, but easy enough for us to listen to while he's in there. The battery has lasted this entire time, I haven't had to change a thing. I would definitely recommend this product.

This swing is extremely loud. The vibrating feature on this swing could be heard from across the house and I was personally afraid it would hurt my newborns ears just sitting in it. I was also disappointed with the swing feature. It made a clicking noise when turned on and truely only had one speed which was insanely fast. In all honesty, a baby could be tossed from this swing if not adequately strapped in. The seat in it was very deep and lacked head and body support. I had to prop blankets in the swing to support my newborn. Needless to say, I returned this swing and purchased the Fisher Price Papasan Cradle Swing which is fantastic!

My 2 month old daughter has reflux and colic. We tried the bouncy seat, but she was not a fan! This swing also vibrates and plays music which she loves! I definitely recommend this swing!!

I have this in my office so I am limited on space. This is great for small spaces, light weight to move. The locking feature is wonderful! You have the best of two worlds with a swing and bouncer in one.
