Fisher Price Discover n' Grow Crib-to-Floor Mobile
This 3 in 1 mobile attaches easily to the crib and will soothe baby to sleep with 6 soft hanging characters (whale, seahorse, octopus and 3 small fish) that spin gently overhead to classical lullabies and nature sounds for up to 20 minutes. When baby is awake and ready to play the mobile armature can be removed from the crib, snaps securely into the base, and becomes a floor toy that will entertain and stimulate baby. For a great tummy time experience the 3 soft hanging characters can be brought down and attached to the base. For additional sit at play there are two activities on the base: a flower dial that clicks and springing frog. Playtime is accompanied by lively upbeat music and sound affects. The colorful roller ball will start the action when baby bats at it. Settings include: music and motion, or music only. Mobile Birth-5 months; Soother Birth-24 months.

Comments about Discover n' Grow Crib-to-Floor Mobile:

We've had this mobile for about a month and I'd like to love it, but it's got some mechanical issues. The mobile feature is super-finickie and inconsistently works. It doesn't always go and now more times than not I have to manually give it a boost after it doesn't start and wait for the motor to kick in. For a while I didn't think it even turned with the pirate music and only rotatated on the lullaby setting.

Also, the playtime music is great, but ends after each song so you have to sit there and push the button about every 6 seconds to keep the fun music going--which is a lot less fun for me. The lullaby music goes about 5 minutes before turning off.

Though it sounds like this mobile is a dud, I still give it 3 stars because my daughter LOVES it. She's 8 weeks and for the last month has laid under it, or sat in her bouncy chair and watched it with absolute uninterrupted adoration. She fusses when the mobile stops and calms when I push the button to make it turn again for about 20 minutes at a time. The floor capability is also huge and I love having a mobile that we can move upstairs and downstairs and use for playtime, not just bedtime.

We've only used it on the floor setting because she's still in the bassinet and not sleeping in her crib, though I'm sure I'll be rolling my eyes at its malfunctions for months to come since she loves it so much.
