It does it what it says what it would do in that it will help your baby fall asleep or relax (if your baby is inclined to such a device). It's a little bit bulky and like another reviewer said, it would be nice if there was more than one button to specify that sound rather than having to scroll. If this product broke, I'd do more research to find something comparable before deciding to purchase again.

This is a cheap machine that has poor acoustics and poor sound and music selections. The Bach melodies are all Allegro passages that played in tandem
made me so anxious I wanted to smash the machine. We normally use an Ipad with free sound machine aps that offer a greater range of sounds and melodies. Perhaps not a fair comparison however this machine does not even meet my lowest expectations.

This is basic- which is exactly what I needed! It's light and is easy to carry from room to room. (Our baby sleeps in our bedroom at night, but naps in other rooms in the house.) This is small enough that it's easy to prop anywhere (on a bookshelf, for example) and it's basic enough looking (white, round) that it doesn't scream 'baby!' when you look at it. When the batteries run out, it doesn't stop- it does this sort of repeating, like a CD skipping, that is terrible. But you just turn it off, replace batteries, and it's great. The batteries last a long time, too. It doesn't have many noise options, but we have a couple we like. We always use the same one, so we never have to scroll through the sounds like another reviewer complained about. It stays on indefinitely or you can set it to go off after some set amount of time. Lots of the ones out there turn off after 45 minutes and our son needs it on all night. So: this isn't fancy and I had wanted a 'higher-end' model, but in retrospect this is exactly the right thing.

This is a terrible product. The volume does not go loud enough and the sound choices are not good. Furthermore, you need to keep pushing the same button to change the sound, as opposed to other sound makers where there is a button for each sound so you know what you are getting. I wanted this in order to block out background noise so my kids won't wake each other. I have owned other noise makers that are so much better for the same price. Don't waste your money on this one. I am returning it immediately.

We needed something that would make sound similar to her humidifier while we were traveling and this works perfectly for that. There are many different sounds to choose from and it helps drown out noise from the rest of the house.

I have a toddler and an infant, who each wake up rather loudly (during the night and in the morning). I have this sound machine placed outside my children's rooms as a buffer, so that one's noises or cries won't wake the other (we have monitors in each room to let us hear them). We prefer the straight white noise but there is a variety of sounds and the volume control lets us turn it up loud enough to block out the noises in the hallway and from behind the closed doors.
