I am all about the benefits of babywearing and I knew I wanted to start immediately after my daughter was born. We tried a sling first, but she couldn't get comfy and cried. The Ergobaby and insert was a hit! At 10 days old, she comfortably snuggled against me so I could wear her while I caught up on housework and took long walks outside. No crying and no fuss. Awesome!

I lost my old ergo carrier and infant insert and was bummed to have to get a new one. Didn't think there was anything wrong with the old one —loved it, actually— but this new insert is so much easier. You don't have to wrap your baby like a taco; you just sit her little butt on the podium at the bottom of the cushion, strap across, and tighten. I started using this when my daughter was only 6 pounds and she was safe and snug and happy. I highly recommend it for easy, comfy use. The reason I haven't given it 5 stars is that I'm using it in 80-degree weather and it gets hot (as any carrier would, I guess); I also wish it came in some prettier colors.

The descriptions says you should use this infant insert until your baby is 4-5 months old but does not give a height/weight reccomendation. My baby is 2 months old and weights over 15lbs and is more than 22inches long and is too big for this product. I wish I would have known that before buying online. [...]

I had the ergo carrier for my first child but returned the older version of the baby insert. I felt like it was hard to figure out how to use it and get the baby comfortable. Now Ihave a six week old who needs to be held all day, she hated the baby bjorn, plus I hear it puts presure on their pelvis. So I decided to try this new ergo insert. My baby loves it she fell asleep 5 min after I put her in. Only draw back is I am parinoid about her being in the right position.
