I have nothing bad to say about the sport carrier. The material is dramatically lighter then the original. i love the slit in the back to allow ventilation plus its very comfy on. I'm using this with the infant insert and my 2 month old loves it.

The Ergo is fantastic. I started out using the Baby Bjorn when my son was a newborn, and we happy with it at first. But as my son began to grow (he's a big boy), I found the Bjorn did a number on my back. Once he reached the upper weight limit, I started searching for a new carrier. The Ergo was recommended by other parents, and WOW, what a difference! His weight (nearly 25 pounds) is now evenly distributed over my back and down on my hips. I can wear him on the front, on my hip, on or my back, and walk with him for an extremely long time before tiring.

One warning: I find it tricky to get him on my back without someone there to assist. There are clear instructions included that demonstrate how to do it on your own, but I am a klutz and got nervous. I think, with time, it will come more naturally, but you may want to utilize a spotter the first few times you attempt it. Front and hip placement is super easy and intuitive.

This is a great product. I am extremely happy with this purchase, and wish that I had used the Ergo from the start.

I love this carrier! I cannot say enough good things about it. I own several slings (EZ sling, Peanut Shell & Moby) and carriers (Baby Bjorn). These others pale in comparison to the Ergo Baby Carrier. Everytime I put the carrier on I am amazed at how easy and comfortable it is. My daughter is secure and confortable in it. She is able to look around and ride a bit higher than the other models listed. I used the infant insert until she was 4 months old. It is a bit bulky but a great way to keep baby secure. Try it and you'll love it!!

I am only giving this carrier 3 stars because I love diapers.com service & I don't doubt that some other families get good use out of this product. However, my personal rating of this product would be one star for two main reasons: price for what you get and functionality. We bought this carrier with the hopes that it would minimize our need for our double stroller (BabyJogger City Elite) as it is just too big for some situations (museums, football games, family get togethers etc..). We have a two year old that still needs to hitch a ride ever so often and a 28 lb 8 month old that needs the same. We are a tall, active family (I am 5'11" while my husband is 6' 4"). Unfortunately both kids are just too big. We all found it uncomfortable and awkward.

Pros:
Very soft- comfortable- and (seemed) durable material
I am sure this would be much better than the bjorn for smaller babies
Love the choice in colors
The "safety" bands behind the clasps are brilliant

Cons:
Awkward positioning of strap on neck in hip position
Not comfortable with larger babies
Not worth the money (for us)
Complicated to figure out- positioning is a little bit like Goldilocks. Had to be "just right" to be comfortable

I am sure this works for many people, but for us it was an easy decision to return.

I have purchased many items from Diapers.com and never experience receiving wrong item.

I ordered black sport ergobaby but received original yellow, still not sure what went wrong, so I am sending the wrong one back for refund.

Otherwise, I love ergobaby I have an original one camel color and I use it almost everyday.
