This is the best carrier. I know it's much more expensive than the others but it's worth every penny. I used this more than any other baby item I have. It's also great for big newborns. My baby gained a pound a week so by 4 months she was over 18lbs and didn't fit into any front carrier and was painful to hold on the shoulder/hip carry. No pain with the carrier. I can hold for hours (and have) and hardly feel in pain. I carried her around non-stop for about 3 hours and only by hour 4 did my shoulders start hurting. Most of the weight is distributed to your hips, no other carrier (that I've seen) does that which makes it super comfortable. This carrier is a must for all. Plus this style is stylish while unisex if husband wants to carry baby too.

I had a chance to use compare the Ergo Baby vs. baby Bjorn when I was working as a nanny. They're both good of course, but I always chose ergo baby carrier first because it was so comfortable on me and babies stayed happy in it for a long time! So when it came time to buy, I bought the Ergo Baby. Can't wait to use it with my little one.

I bought this to use with my third baby at eight months old because I can use it longer than my Bjorn. The ErgoBaby can hold up to 90 lbs and the Bjorn up to 26. It is very comfortable, cute and so far front carry is easy to use. I do want to try hip (another major reason I got it) and back carry. I need to practice those soon! Very happy with this purchase!

I bought the ErgoBaby carrier because my newborn wants to be held all the time. I also have a toddler, so my hands are full. I had been using the Bjorn, but my back hurt after only 10 minutes of wearing it. I can wear the ErgoBaby for hours comfortably while my baby snoozes.

I LOVE this carrier. I bought the Moby at first b/c I liked the idea of it, but returned it pretty much right after my son was born...I found it very difficult to put on and couldn't get the hang of it. With the Ergo I got it pretty much right away. I used the insert at first, which was great, however very warm, so if you have a newborn in a hot climate, not sure if I would recommend the insert portion. I use this everyday... around the house, at the store... always use it at airports and it is great b/c we travel a lot. I do find that my lower back aches the next day and my son is only 9 months, which surprises me since so many of the reviews say otherwise. All in all I love it and would 100% recommend it.

I think the ergo is a great product. I am still trying to figure out the best way to get my daughter in the back position. When she is in it, she loves looking around and I have two free hands. The only cons are the way I look in it and belt seems to sit directly on the top of my jeans so I find myself adjusting my pants often. I have only had it a short time so I am still trying to figure it out but I already love it.

This has been a wonderful investment! My LO is 5 months old, hates his infant carrier, and can't quite sit up in a shopping cart - this makes grocery shopping super convenient! I also use it around the house to cook and clean, bonding with the baby, simplifying my day, and inducing some baby-weight-loss!

I have 3 kids under 4. I got a bjorn carrier with my first born. Loved it for a while, but I'd really say it has a 20 lbs limit (not 25 lbs like listed), because it hurts your back beyond that point. So I got a maya wrap for my second child. I like the maya wrap for a new born and again when they are too big for the bjorn. The problem is I've never really felt that it was hands-free. I have always felt more comfortable keeping a hand on my kid while using it. So now that my third kid is over 21 lbs, decided that I couldn't continue to use the bjorn any longer, and couldn't push a double jog stroller while using the maya wrap. So I gave in and bought the ergo. I have to say I wish I had gotten it sooner. I absolutely love being able to wear my son on my back. I'm able to wear him and take care of my other 2 kids. It is comfortable (unlike the kelty backpack which I've never gotten adjusted right), it is light, easy to stuff into the bottom of a stroller or bag when not in use, and my back doesn't hurt after a long walk. I will admit that the ergo is challenging to use as a backpack, so highly reccommend using it when someone else is around to spot until you learn how. I've found that sitting on my sofa or my trunk is the best way to load. I also love that if my husband borrows this he can readjust it without causing me headaches. The bjorn and kelty backpack are hard to re-adjust to just the way you had them. This has 4 simple things to adjust and off you g0 (waist belt, 2 shoulder straps, and chest strap).
I spent the extra $5 for the grey galaxy ergo because this is something you will use nearly everyday. My maya wrap is a loud red, and only matches some of my clothes. Trust me you want a color that you can live with everyday.

I hope this helps. Good luck. Keep in mine that you have to find something that both you and your baby like. Your baby while being small will have their own opinions and will voice those opinions loadly.

Im a first time mom so I make sure i read all reviews so after reading the reviews on many carriers i decided on the ergo and im glad i did.It is so comfortable u dnt feel the weight on ur back or shoulders my son falls asleep in it after about 10 mins i use it everyday for 2 hour bus travel twice a day and feel no pain. However i should have listen to the comment to purchase the extender because im plus size the strap across ur lower back because uncomfortable so if u are plus its a must buy the extender this carrier is ssssoooo worth thr money and so cute

My son is 5 months old and weighs 19 pounds, a big boy! He has outgrown the Baby Bjorn in both height and weight. I wish I got the Ergo from the start. My back and shoulders would hurt me after wearing my son for about 20 minutes. The minute I put the Ergo on, both my husband and I could not get over how comfortable it was for us and our son, too. The Ergo seems expensive but it is well worth the price! I do recommend the teething straps, my sons mouth is at the same level of the straps and immediately he started teething on the pads. You will not be dissapointed with your purchase. I also liked that the Ergo has a front zippered pocket to but keys and a cell phone in - something the Baby Bjorn doesn't have.

My baby is 6 months old and I have tried many carriers at this point. This carrier is the best and I wish I had purchased only this one.
The best feature is that it is very comfortable on my back and it is ergonomically designed to be comfortable for the baby too. As opposed to the carriers where the baby's weight is supported by the crotch the Ergo Baby supports the baby weight in a sitting position.
It is easy to get the baby in and out of the carrier even when the baby is asleep, which is not the case with the Sleepy and Moby wraps.
I also like that this carrier will allow to carry the baby also on your back or on the side position.
This is THE carrier to buy!

I was skeptical at first to order this carrier because it is one of the more expensive ones. However it was well worth the money! My daughter is 10 months old and weighs about 21 pounds and it is a lifesafe! I walked around the store for over 3 hours with her in it and had NO back pain. I'm only 5 foot and I had no problems putting it on or carrying my daughter in it! My only suggestion is, if you are over a size 12 buy the waist extender.

I was very doubtful before ordering this product because I also read similar great reviews on [...], which I did buy and hated it. I am so glad I got Ergo. My 5 month old daughter immediately adjusted right into it and that same day I took her out in it for about 2 hours, she was so comfortable and easily fell asleep in it. I use it daily around the house, now I can get my work done and it doesn't strain my back either. This product is worth the money. I only bought it after reading all the parent's reviews, and each of them are right. I agree with all the parents, this product is a must have! I am happy to leave behind my bulky stroller and car seat in the car. Easy to put on and take off. I just wished it had more pockets.
