I use this carrier daily for my 3 month old. I've tried almost every baby carrier on the market --bjorn, ring sling, moby, peanut sling--and this is my favorite. It's easy to put on, easy to put baby in, and very comfortable to wear. Incidentally, the weight limit still fits my 4-year-old, and although not a usual thing, she rode in it just fine (for testing purposes). I'm not sure the infant insert is necessary, even though I bought it. It seems to make my baby hot, and the baby lays against my body, so her head is not unsupported. It allows me to snuggle her a little more closely, too. I thought the cranberry color was very true to the picture, pretty in person and gender neutral. I love this product and it's worth the investment, if you plan to wear your baby. (The ring sling is also a favorite baby carrier.)

Love this! So much easier than trying to lug the stroller around. I love the color too. It easily fits me and my husband. I am extremely petite and he is a big Marine. It works for my little 4 month old and my 2 year old toddler. We want another one so we can both carry our kids! Love the color too! Definitely worth the price. I like the hood because it blocks the sun and can breastfeed. It's a little difficult to buckle the back if you are alone but you just have to loosen the strap all the way, buckle, lift over your head, and tighten the strap. Easy fix.

The color of this particular carrier isn't Cranberry. In person, the color looks burnt orange. Overall Ergobaby original carrier is the best, however they need to make more colors. I am currently waiting to see how the Galaxy Grey color looks in person. The black color is nice, however it looks already faded, which shows as a greenish black over time.

I keep the Ergo in my car always and never go anywhere without it. I use it at the grocery store, to unload the car, to tidy up the house when I need to go up and downstairs a few times, and to walk the dog. It's so much easier than managing a stroller and my son loves getting into "piggyback" mode. I didn't use this when he was an infant but I'm planning to for our next baby and will buy the insert then. I wish I had gotten it from the beginning, I spent a lot of money trying out others and sending them back. The only con that I can think of is that it does not provide young babies the front outward facing position but that is negligible. I rarely use the hip-carry position because he squirms, it's not as stable in that one for me but I'm sort of small and my son is a big toddler. I would highly recommend this carrier.

I wish I would have gotten this when my daughter was younger. I got it for my new baby, but even carrying around my three year old, who is 30lbs is very easy! I got the newborn insert for the baby.

we bought one when our son was two months old but he did not like it then so we returned it. But when he was four months old we get him this one again, he fall in sleep in it at once. Now we use it everyday.

I was hesitant to buy yet another baby carrier that wouldn't be comfortable for either baby or me but since I have 2 babies under 2 I had to try it out. I'm glad I did. It is a great product.

i just bought this with my six month old, second child. I really wish i would have just bought it in the begining. i have owned many carriers and this one is by far the best. i walk everywhere and this carrier has been the only carrier that doesnt hurt my back (i have a back injury). it really puts the weight of her on my hips/legs compared to my lower back. i love the fact that i can change positions (front hip back) when she gets fussy and then continue on my way. LEARN FROM ME, DONT BUY OTHER CARRIERS WHEN THIS ONE IS THE BEST OUT THERE!!!!

I use the Ergo daily to carry my 8 month old as I walk with my two bigger kids in the double stroller. She is perfectly content to ride against me. I am confortable knowing she is secure. She has been riding in the Ergo since she is about 4 months old (as soon as the back of her knees could reach the edge of the carrier). I DO NOT recommend the infant insert for warm climates. My second daughter overheated on a hot day (wrapped in the infant insert fitted into the Ergo and against the added warmth of my body heat).

This was actually a gift for a friend, but I have one and love it! I will never use anything else.. The only downfall is the baby can't face out when on your front, but I use the side and back the most anyway.. My son (18 mos) still enjoys it, and hates being help :)

i have a 8 wk old and didnt like the "infant insert", so im returning it. i just use a blanket to wrap her in instead. works fine. she LOVES it too. which im surprised cuz she didnt like 2 other carriers. i would totally recommend this product (+diapers.com) to any expecting parent.

I saw this online and after reading about the features and reviews I decided to purchase despite the cost. My son is just under 4 months so I also needed to order the insert for an additional $38. What caught my eye was the comfortable looking design and the beautiful cranberry color. As always, I received the shipment the very next day and couldn't be more pleased with the quality and ease of use. It's extremely comfortable for both my son and I. I've used other carriers of lower quality that cost less, but they're much less comfortable. This is well worth the money! I can wear it all over the city with my son and he actually falls asleep in it almost immediately.
