      • Enfamil A.R.

It's not uncommon for babies to spit-up frequently as their digestive systems develop. Sometimes a change in formula can make all the difference. Enfamil A.R. is clinically proven* to reduce frequent spit-up.

Enfamil A.R. is designed to help reduce spit-up due to its thicker consistency, yet easily flow through nipple. That way, babies can get—and keep—the complete nutrition they need to grow and develop, helping them reach key milestones.

Recommended Age: Newborn to 12 months

        Features:

        • #1 brand of formula for spit-up†
        • Provides more balanced nutrition than adding rice cereal to formula
        • Includes a blend of prebiotics for digestive health
        • Expert recommended levels of DHA and ARA to support baby's brain and eye development

*Formula for spit-up defined as rice-thickened formula
†Based on a clinical study of Enfamil A.R. infant formula before the addition of DHA, ARA and prebiotics with infants who spit up frequently (5 or more spit-ups per day), comparing frequency and volume of spit-up after feeding Enfamil A.R. to the same babies at the beginning of the study

Comments about Enfamil A.R. for Spit-Up Powder Formula - 22.2 oz:

We switched to Enfamil AR on our pediatrcians recommendation since our son was having frequent spit up but was not yet severe enough to warrant medication.
This has proven to be a lifesaver and my son loves the taste too. His spit up reduced drastically immediately and just disappeared. After around 6-9months of age I tried switching to the subsequent stage of Enfamil formula but he loves the taste of Enfamil AR so much he refuses the others!
Compared to a plain formula preparation this is harder to mix because of its heavier due to the starch, but we soon got a hang of it.
One recommendation would be to use it with a larger size nipple during bottle feeding- that way babies dont have to work as hard to such the thick formula out the stage one nipple that usually works for regular formula.

Helped with our son's GERD, however with how thick it is, when he would vomit or spit up, it would be hard for my son to spit it out.

Also made him a little constipated at first until his system got used to it.

Overall- really helped him not projectile and put on weight!

Comments about Enfamil A.R. for Spit-Up Powder Formula - 22.2 oz:

My 3 month old daughter has been on Enfamil since I stopped breastfeeding at 6 weeks. Unfortunately, I had to try two other kinds of Enfamil before I found her the right one. My daughter developed acid reflux and was basically spitting up everything after each bottle. Worried about her losing weight, I decided to switch to the Enfamil powder formula that included rice(starch) as directed by my pediatrician. The first bottle there was no spitting up and I was impressed! I am so happy now. The first negative is that it doesn't have that "sweetness" to it. So I take it's a little bland to baby. But she's doesn't mind. She just doesn't make that happy hum when she eats because it doesn't include corn syrup(solids). That's how I knew the others tasted good. The second problem is it's so frothy when mixed. I had to make the holes larger in my already med-flow nipples because it seems all she sucks out is bubbles, which resulted in her fussing until I figured it out. What's weird is it stopped giving her the hiccups but takes her forever to burp?! Which she never had that problem. The two other main positives, besides her not spitting up; is it made her a daily pooper. Lastly, it doesn't stink when she eats it. I found the other formulas stunk when she ate it and it left her bottles smelling terrible. Now, I don't have that problem.

      Thank you Enfamil!

My doctor recommended that my 4 week old son with Acid reflux use rice cereal in his formula.(My son was extremely fussy during feeding and vomiting to the point out was coming out of his nose)After doing my research i found out that adding rice cereal at that age could cause a huge choking hazard. That terrified me to know end. Then a friend recommended Enfamil A.R and I tried that instead and its been amazing. The rice starch is so much safer than actual rice cereal for my newborn and the spitting has improved tremendously. I love iy and would always recommend it

My 8 week old has acid reflux and was having trouble with spit-up. All the other formulas for gas and sensitive stomachs contain corn syrup and suger which made her acid reflux worse!!! We tryed rice cerial in her formula but it clogged the nipples. We tryed the enfamil A.R. and was hooked. She barely ever spits up, has less heartburn and less tummy upset. Wish I found this product sooner!

After my milk supply dried up I was extremely worried about switching to formula. My son was 2 1/2 months old and was doing beautifully on breast milk. The first feeding with formula (different brand) was awful... Projectile vomiting, diarreha, and extreme fussiness. I tried 6 different kinds of formula until someone suggested Enfamil A.R. to my husband and I. It was an amazing change! He wasn't a spit-up prone baby on breast milk, but now he very rarely spits up. He has no issues with constipation or diarreha anymore. The formula mixes very well and I love how eco-friendly the containers are! I'm so glad we finally found something that Brock could handle!

My son used to have projectile vomit. I swithced him to Enfamil A/R. I noticed a difference immediately. He did not have one drop of spit up. On the instructions for preparing states you have to mix it and wait a few minutes. Yes it is very foamy right after you mix but after the waited time stated all the foam goes away on its own. I never had issues with consipation or gas.

At 4-months, my daughter peeked with spitting up and severe gas (we were using a different brand). She was like a water spout after every feeding and also in between feedings. We switched to A.R. and she has been on it for about 2-months now. It made an immediate change....no more spitting up, no more gas, and she is gaining weight now. This formula is a life-saver! We were using gas drops every couple of hours and she was constipated all the time. This was the 4th formula we tried and I wish we had found this sooner!

My 3 month old son was diagnosed with reflux. I preferred Enfamil formulas from the start, he was on Newborn, and the doctor put him on AR. He never really spit up before, his reflux appeared to be silent but now it's happening more often but that could be just because he is growing. He eats around 6 oz every 2-4 hours and appears to really like it. He is VERY healthy! You have to use larger nipples and I think the foam may be causing some gas but the formula mixes well because it's so fine and he pretty much always finishes his bottle. He's sleeping better too. We tried lots of formulas and this is definitely what's best for my son. I just wish it were a little cheaper. My friends send me all of their coupons. :)

My twin girls were prescribed Enfamil AR after their 8 week check up. They had reflux and had been bringing up every single feed, the health visitor became concerned when they didn't put on a single ounce in weight in a fortnight.

They were like different babies after they changed to this formula! They are very rarely sick, as a parent of twins and a toddler, I am busy enough without cleaning up sick and extra laundry etc. Enfamil AR saved us!!! They are still on it at 9 months and both are thriving and healthy babies

Only downfall is it seems to cause constipation, but once you are weaning, you can introduce foods to help with that
