NO NUTRITIONAL VALUE. AT ALL....
from Aspen, Colorado
About Me First Time Parent
I was SUPER excited about Ella's Kitchen Wakey Wakey Cereal because my little guy HATES cereal but NEEDS the iron and fiber.
When he first tried this cereal he did not like it. Which was not a shock. So, I mixed it with a little bit of fruit. HE LOVED IT. As I was putting his breakfast away I noticed this product has NO IRON, NO FIBER and 30 CALORIES. I about fell over. I should have read it before purchasing it, this is what I get for assuming all baby cereal has iron, fiber, and at least some nutritional content. This cereal also has ZERO PROTEIN.
I ended up mixing the Ella's kitchen Wakey Wakey Mango Banana + Strawberry Baby Cereal with some fruit and SPROUT ORGANICS baby cereal because it DOES HAVE IRON, FIBER, CALCIUM and PROTEIN... so, overall not a total waste but a hassle and I wouldn't do it again.
If I just needed a cereal with no nutritional value and just wanted to bulk up my babies meal this would be the way to go.
My husband has been anti Ella's Kitchen from the word go. He has pointed out that the ingredients list often does not match the product description or rather the title of the meal. I have always kind of laughed and made fun of him for this but today I went threw the Ella's food we have he is actually right. The "main" named ingredient is usually not the main ingredient in the package. This is something we have all come to accept in the processed foods we put into our adult bodies but NOT our infants! He jokes its false advertisement. And I have to say I am disappointed in Ella's kitchen.
