After my doula got me Avalon organics baby shampoo, I was hooked on natural baby shampoos. I didn't realize the itchy bumpy scalp I had was due to irritants like sodium laurel sulfate in my shampoos. I would be standing in it and get a rash on my feet too. I thought I had athlete's foot or something. What a relief! Anyway Avalon Organics is really expensive. For the same sized bottle Earth's best is a $1.50 less. The ingredients are slightly different but no red flags here, except for the preservative which still didn't react with my skin. I wish there was a better cheaper shampoo out there for someone like me. Because I only use this for my hair and I'm almost out. And I spent more on shampoo than toilet paper. But this shampoo works great. I'm sure it would be amazing on baby skin. I would even recommend it for newborn skin. Although, a drop of Dr. Bronner's is cheaper and simpler. Also I'd like to point out that this product does not lather luxuriously like you see in shampoo commercials, but that's because sodium laurel sulfate is a toxic irritant and is an often used foaming agent. This product has no irritating ingredients. This shampoo does have a tear free ingredient, arnica montana, so that might be worth your money. Other shampoos use a novacaine derivative as the tear free agent. Really, the best thing is to not get soap in baby's eyes. Use just warm water on a washcloth on their face. That'll get rid of some baby acne too because their pores are so tiny that small amounts of soap can get trapped and cause acne. A drop of Bronner's won't hurt their eyes too much either just make sure to rinse really well.

I have beem using Earth's Best for my now almost 3 yr old since she was a newborn. DD has always had a very sensitive skin. I tried everything on the market shelves right from Johnson's to the Johnson;s organics and the other expensive organic brandsbut nothing worked with DD's skin. She would get rashes with everything. Then I finally tried Earth's best Lavender and voila! never had to try another brand ever.
It is very mild and the smell is great- I got the lavender lotion from Esrth's best as well. the product also lathers up well so a little penny size is enough to lather up DD all over. Its a great shampoo as well and leaves her hair soft!
Its a great product.

Our grandchild has very sensitive skin and has broken out with a rash when we have tried to use anything else. Even if some of it should get into the eyes it does not burn and yet the baby feels and smells so clean after using it. It does cost more but is worth every cent because it is so effective for extra sensitive baby skin.

We use this as a shampoo for our preschooler who has suffered from eczema and was advised to avoid soaps. It makes his hair shiny, has natural ingredients, and is a great value.

My baby has very sensitive skin to other products. This shampoo and wash is very gentle and has very effective with not drying out or irritating my baby's skin. I'm very pleased with the product !!!

This so far is the only shampoo/body wash my 4 month old can use. I have used both california baby and burts bees and both brands aggravated her diaper rash. the container isn't the easiest but who cares if the product works.

From the first time we used this product, we were hooked. We've tried other brands a few times when they've been on sale, but they are never as good as this one. The lavender scent is calming without being too perfumy. My kids' eyes do not get irritated. Plus, it's made with quality ingredients by Jason, which is a brand we trust.

This is the most drying wash I have ever used. My baby's skin was so drying from use that it was flaking. Also the bottle is not well designed and hard to use. For the price, it is not worth it.

this wash isnt too good. It latherd nicely, but it really doesnt clean too well. I notice after baths that my toddler doesnt smell like he had a bath, and his hair did not smell or look fresh either. I dont like strong fragrances, but a wash should take away the smell from the diaper area and this does not. maybe it works better on an infant? while I appreciate the fact that this wash is gentle, we need something a little better at cleaning. I would not buy again, it is not worth the price.

My baby has pretty long hair, and this is the only (natural) shampoo/body wash that I felt left her hair and skin residue free, yet soft. I've tried it all. This is the keeper!

I used this to bathe my two year old before using it on my newborn twins. Usually he loves to get his hair washed and the water poured over his head, when I strarted using the earth's best shampoo he cried that it hurt his eyes. It says tear free but it is NOT TEAR FREE! However the flip top design of the bottle is good. Since I had the bottle left over I used it for myself and it left my skin dry and irritated.

I am giving it two stars not one because the bottle is designed well and the smell isn't overwhelming, but it says it is tear free and it isn't. Ususally i am very happy with Earths Best products but this time earth's best product just isn't best.

Love this stuff! I use it as shampoo and soap. It does not bother my daughter's eyes. Her hair always feels clean and looks shiny. The scent is barely there, very nice. One bottle lasts a long time, too. I also love their sunscreen.

I used this as a daily body wash. I love and trust the Jason brand. It lathers well and keeps her soft.
