Comments about Lil' Shopper Play Set:

LOVE THIS TOY! I'm trying to teach our 14-month old some food names, and this toy is perfect (we do call the cabbage "cauliflower," but that's only because we eat a lot of cauliflower!). The pieces themselves hold his interest because they each have a jingle or crinkle or velcro. In fact, we often leave the house with the banana because he never wants to stop carrying it around. The toy has been great for teaching him in/out concepts, too.

Comments about Lil' Shopper Play Set:

As a grandparent with Early Childhood training, this meets all my requirements: no batteries, lights or sounds. It allows creative, open-ended play, and can be used through several stages. My 5 month old enjoys grabbing and mouthing the various textures and sounds. At fill and dump stage, she can enjoy it again. Then she can peel the banana, open the orange, and manipulate the fruits as we identify them. Finally, as a toddler/preschooler, she can combine this with a grocery cart and cash register for shopping fun and making pretend meals--with healthy foods!

I got this for my twin boys when they were 7 months old and they are now 1 and still enjoy playing with it. It has been one of their favorite toys, particularly the apple & milk. Love it
