Product Information
Dr Brown's Wide Neck Bottles

Dr Brown's Wide Neck Bottles are created with a unique two-piece internal vent mechanism for vacuum-free feedings. This is also known as positive pressure flow feeding, similar to breastfeeding. During feeds, air is channeled from the teat collar through the vent system to the back of the bottle. The air circumvents the breast milk or formula and minimizes oxidation. In addition, the essential nutrients of the feed like vitamins A, C and E are preserved. As babies don't have to fight the discomfort of ingesting air bubbles, feeds are longer and easier.

Why You'll Love It: This bottle helps significantly reduce gas, colic and spit-ups.

Features
  • Made of polypropylene
  • Unique 2-piece internal vent system prevents excess air
  • Retains essential nutrients in fluids
  • Effortless feeding without discomfort of ingesting air bubbles
  • Helps reduce gas, colic and spit-ups
  • BPA-free

Comments about Wide Neck Bottles - 4 oz - 2 pk:

My breastfed baby took the wide neck bottles okay, but she actually prefers the standard Dr. Browns bottle and nipples. Something to keep in mind with the wide neck bottles is that the nipple is REALLY long, so for newborns it may go too far back in their mouth. My little one gagged as they were too long. She has done much better with the standard nipples. I had no issues with leaking.

I have not had the pleasure of using these yet since my due date is still a little ways away but I used these with my daughter and they were a life saver when it came to her being colicy and gassy. I started off with Playtex then moved to Dr. Brown's and will never use anything else again.

Comments about Wide Neck Bottles - 4 oz - 2 pk:

My son was not able to nurse after two weeks so I switched to Dr. Browns. I was using the regular bottles for several weeks but when my baby was tired he would have trouble drinking from them. I decided to try the MAM bottles because he used those pacifiers. The nipples were great but he got so much air when using them. I switched to the wide neck Dr Browns and changed the nipples to the MAM ones. He is doing so much better now that we are using these with the MAM nipples.

Comments about Wide Neck Bottles - 4 oz - 2 pk:

Our daughter was pretty spitty when we first came home from the hospital, but these bottles were awesome! The level 1 nipples were tight enough she had to really suck to get the milk out (much like breastfeeding) and these bottles prevented her from sucking in so much air to help her not be so spitty. Plus, the wide-neck bottles are bigger-enough nippled that it's very similar to a breast. We've done a bottle at night since about week 2, and she's never experienced any nipple confusion.

I am a nursing mom who pumps for my hubby to give the baby a bottle at night. I also bottle feed in public. These bottles are the only one my son will take and there are no issues with gas with these. We tried two other brands before I caved and got these. I only say caved because I have used them in the past as a nanny and cleaning is a pain. I think the new wide neck silicon nipple is a great add! While the bottles have more parts to clean, it's worth my baby's comfort and happiness.
