      Bottles ok, extra parts annoying

Comments about Dr. Brown's BPA Free Natural Flow Newborn Feeding Set:

These are the main bottles I use and they are ok. I would not say I absolutely love them and sometimes I find them annoying.

The extra straw is supposed to help with gas and reflux and such. I can see how it would make a diffence but I did not observe for myself any real difference between when he drinks from these versus other bottles. He was a pretty gassy, spitty kid all along. Maybe the bottles do help with these conditions but I can't really tell.

The extra parts I find annoying. Not because they are difficult to clean, but because the bottles are nonfunctional without them and it means one more thing you have to remember to put in your diaper bag, tell your babysitter about, etc. I find that inconvenient as I am pretty on-the-go and would like to have a simpler bottle. (They leak like crazy if you don't have the straw thingy installed.) I also have had problems with some bottle warmers as the liquid on the bottom when heated will sometimes shoot up the straw and spill out. Possible a design flaw in the bottle warmer rather than the bottles but a problem regardless.

Comments about Dr. Brown's BPA Free Natural Flow Newborn Feeding Set:

These bottles are wonderful. My 1 month old spit up a lot and I had to burp her after each ounce that she ate. I bought these bottles hoping to help her out. These bottles really made her much more comfortable and she spits up much less and I can burp her just once at the end of her meal, and even then they are usually very small. There are 4 parts to each bottle but it is very easy to use. I have not had any problems with leaking at all. I love the travel disk that comes with them. It really blocks the milk from leaking if you just toss the bottle in a bag and it's upside down. The travel caps are very secure as well. Great products!

Comments about Dr. Brown's BPA Free Natural Flow Newborn Feeding Set:

I was running late to the sitters and forgot my son's bottle (advent) I stopped by a [...] and litterally grabbed the first bottle and checked out. When I got to the sitters she informed me she uses Dr. Browns bottle for another child, she informed me the child had never had colic. The first thing I noticed is the reduction in my 5week old's gas, He was a tooter and his gas was drastically reduced on day one. I also noticed a reduction in the need to burp him. He was not as fussy either. I have not noticed a buildup of film in the chambers, I seem to get the water to flow right through all the parts with ease when I separate them. I did notice there is a bit of a leak, not as much as my previous bottle but still a bit of a leak, especially when I am shaking the formula in the bottle. I like this bottle and plan to get more.

My son was getting big deep bubbles with the avent bottles. When he would nurse on the bottle he was so noisy. He would cry forever after he ate while we pounded on his back to try and get the bubble out. His burps were always big man burps. The first time we used Dr. Brown we noticed a difference. The nipple fits in his mouth and it is 99% less noisy when he eats. His bubble are drasticly reduced most of the time he doesnt need to burp at all. Very happy with my purchase!

Comments about Dr. Brown's BPA Free Natural Flow Newborn Feeding Set:

I love these bottles. I tried Avent bottles since they were very highly recommended but found my daughter was taking in too much air and getting colic. We switched exclusively to Dr. Browns and found it really does help with colic and gas. you can even hear the difference between the burps my child had with the avent bottles compared to dr. brown's! It is a little time consuming to clean but I believe it is well worth it. I have not had problems with algae/mold. I have not used the dishwasher to clean them. I use the dr browns brush for the smaller parts, the avent bottle brush for the bottles, soap, hot water, and then i sterilize the parts in the microwave.

Comments about Dr. Brown's BPA Free Natural Flow Newborn Feeding Set:

As first-time parents we found Dr. Brown's system to be a bit scary at first because of all the parts and wanting to make sure we used everything properly. What we found is that this system is very easy to use, and I especially like them because the standard bottles screw right onto my Medela Pump In Style breastpump so I have no need to purchase Medela bottles for pumping/storing.

The extra parts may be more to clean, but I have found all the brushes to be easy to use and the Medela microwave steam bags have been a lifesaver because they make sterilizing a snap! This extra bit to clean is nothing compared to the time you would spend listening to the baby cry because of painful gas.

This infant care system is the best because it comes with EVERYTHING you need - including the travel caps. We learned the hard way that the smaller caps that fit under the nipple are not good for travel unless maybe you are using a hardsided cooler and the bottles cannot under any scenario tip over.

          I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Brown's!!

On my baby registery I wanted Avent bottles, beczzuse I was told they were great bottles. While they are comfortable they do leak which is a pain in th bottom. Since my baby would scream due to gas, I had to try something. I changed formula, changed the way she was eating and I even tried multiple gas drops ( little tummies I found to work the best). So I was looking on line and came across these bottles. I bought the 4oz 3 pack. Theses bottles are great my little 6 week old peanut is now a much happier. As for all the parts, I got used to them and don't mind taking an extra minute or two so my little girl is more comfortable. It's sooooo worth it!!!

These bottles are great! I have twins that were premature, and had reflux/gassy issues. Some people complained there were too many parts to clean...Well you want these bottles for the technology, and the 'extra' parts are just that.

They are great for reducing the gas my babies take in.

              LOVE THESE BOTTLES!

I don't use them in the dishwasher, however I wash them thouroughly and then put them in a steam sanitizer just to be sure with all of the parts.

I HIGHLY recommend these and it's the only bottle I use with my daughter
