Comments about Dr. Brown's BPA Free Natural Flow Baby bottle - 8 oz - 3 pk:

Bottle feeding is the best & only option for our 6 week old daughter. A friend recommended the Dr. Brown's bottles because of their unique structure to prevent gas. We LOVE them & it has made an unplanned difficulty much easier & a happier baby (& happier mommy)!!! Dr. Brown will be a welcomed part of our "meal times" for quite a while!! Hint - show Daddy how the internal structure works BEFORE you count on him to fix a 2am bottle!! :)

Comments about Dr. Brown's BPA Free Natural Flow Baby bottle - 8 oz - 3 pk:

We have an army of 18 Dr. Brown's bottles that we've been using for a year and a half with our twin boys. After an estimated *5,500* feedings, they're still going strong!

Around 12 months, some of the blue Dr. Brown's logos started wearing off, but other than that, everything's been fine. For the first 5 months, we hand-washed the bottles and sterilized them in the microwave. Now we just put them in the dishwasher.

Our boys really prefer these bottles, and won't drink from any other brand. The milk flows smoothly and evenly, the nipples never collapse, and there is no problem with suction developing in the bottle.

One great thing about Dr. Brown's is that there is a full selection of nipple sizes. We started with Preemie and are now using size 3.

A drawback is that the measurements on the side of the bottle are hard to read, but I just use a black marker or dark nail polish to mark the measurement I want.

Comments about Dr. Brown's BPA Free Natural Flow Baby bottle - 8 oz - 3 pk:

These bottles are great for feeding since the nipples are smaller and fit more easily into the baby's mouth. But, not great for travel as they tend to leak if you do not keep the bottles completely upright. I bought the travel caps so that is an extra step to take that and carry the rest of the parts to put on later.
I like how these bottles feed but the cons are the leaking and that the yellow piece inside the bottle tends to grow mildew so you have to check it each time and wash it carefully.

Comments about Dr. Brown's BPA Free Natural Flow Baby bottle - 8 oz - 3 pk:

I've tried 3 other bottles, but come back to these because my daughter prefers them and I like that they vent, and don't create suction. My daughter hasn't had any problems with colic, so I can't say whether these are a remedy. But maybe we've avoided problems, because she's only been breastfed and fed with these.

My only problem is that these bottles randomly leak. I have 8 oz and 4 oz, and every once in a while they leak from the nipple ring, I have no idea why. I don't think I'm using them any differently. Usually, though, they work just fine.

I bought these bottles first due to all the hype. No feeding problems with these, however after a while they did become a pain to clean. My son had colic for 6 months regardless of the type of bottle. We finally got the right formula to ease his colic but for my next child I will be using another bottle that is a little easier to clean.

These bottles have worked wonders with my twin daughters in reducing the amount of air they take in when feeding. It was a real problem for us when they came home from the hospital but when they were big enough to switch to Dr. Brown's we did. My husband and I are happy with their durability since they are getting twice as much use in our household. Lots of pieces to wash, but well worth it in the end!

This product is not the easiest to clean or assemble and at times they will leak if turned upside down in a diaper bag. However both my kids had sensitive stomachs and I really think these bottles made a difference in reducing air into their tummies. They are worth the price and the trouble if you have a infant struggling with gas/sensitive stomach.

Comments about Dr. Brown's BPA Free Natural Flow Baby bottle - 8 oz - 3 pk:

I was breastfeeding exclusively and my baby hated drinking from bottles for 4 straight months. Just the sight of her dad or grandma holding a bottle anywhere near her made her cry and turn her head away. She would starve herself because she didn't want the bottle. It was terrible to see that there was almost no compromise! But when I had to return to work teaching, I had no other choice but to experiment with all different brands of bottles, types and flows of nipples, cold milk and warm milk. I even tried sippy cups and medicine droppers just to get her ready for the babysitter. It was getting too frustrating for weeks. I just didn't like how some nipples would collapse while the baby was sucking and I'd have to interrupt the baby's drinking just to make the nipple pop out. It would make her cry. Why should feeding time be so aggravating? The very last bottle I tried was Dr. Brown's. Lo and behold, the baby really began liking Dr. Brown's nipples! Dr. Brown's was the only bottle she wanted to drink from after the milk was warmed and even when the milk was lukewarm. FREEDOM, AT LAST! Thanks to Dr. Brown's bottles, she readily can drink both breastmilk and formula with the babysitter. If I had to do it all over again, I would only have gotten a pack of three 4oz bottles, since the baby's appetite would increase anyway as she grows. I'd spend the bulk of my money on the 8oz bottles, just for practical future purposes. To address the problem of leaking--the only time the bottle will leak is if you carelessly don't secure the rubber stopper all the way down the tube, don't screw the cap tightly, or if you don't correctly insert the nipple. And yes, I know it's pricey and the time it takes to wash the tubing and the rubber stopper might pose a slight 30 second problem, but it should never be seen as an inconvenience in comparison to witnessing how very happy, calm, satisfied little baby becomes after every feeding and with any caretaker! The washing is really a loving act of service. My baby never had any nightmare episodes of gas or acid reflux from using this bottle. She's quite a happy, calm baby after all of her feedings. Happy baby, happy mommy! I love this product!

These bottles are very effective in reducing air intake and baby enjoys the nipples. The flip side is an elaborate multi-piece system, which is a drag to wash and assemble...but I believe this a necessary evil. What irks me more, is that the volume graduation is clear and difficult to read... especially with milk inside. With a black marker I have remedied this, but I am mystified as to why the manufacturer couldn't stamp the measurements in black.

I have read the negative messages about this product and all I have to say is that I have no problems with it.
-"It has many parts"- Yes, but once those parts are together, they prevent gas.
-"They leak"- Nope, they do not leak unless you overflow it or just didn't put it together correctly which so far is easy to do.
-"Precey"- Yes, I don't mind spending on something that works well for my baby. If it helps, why not buy it?
-"I have tried other bottles"- So did I and the "other" bottles were not good at all. I spent more money in other bottles since I had to "try" them to see which one worked. So after many tires I decided to go for the spendy ones, only ONCE and I spent MORE money in the "other" bottles.

                    These bottles work!

I started my baby on bornfree which is great but decided to buy 1 of these to try the difference. I think bornfree and dr brown both work great for gas but the main difference I prefer this brand is because the nipples are a lot more comfortable for my son to suck on. Both nipples are the same texture of softness/quality but the bornfree one makes him stretch his mouth open really wide because of their wide unique nipple shape and he prefers this nipple more, if bornfree made a more normal nipple then I guess I would prefer bornfree because of 1 step easier cleaning, you have to use the little brush to clean inside the little holes on the lid part. And it will leak if you pass the advised line on the bottle so the bottle has to be alot bigger than necessary to avoid leaks.

I love these bottles. My son has GERD and these (along with special formula) help with it, he also didnt get as much gas when he was a newborn. Yes, they can be a pain to put together for some people because of the parts, and many complain that they leak. If you do everything right they shouldn't leak, the main reason they do is that ppl shake the bottle with the parts in it; or stuff gets into the tube. and if you are traveling, use the travel/storage caps. these also work great for mixing up the formula and water. the best part is that they can be used with any regualar sized bottles and they even make some for wide bottles.

My baby was very gassy newborn, these bottles were the only thing that helped. She eventually grew out of the gas but we still use the bottles. I used evenflow glass bottles first, way too many air bubbles for a gassy baby. The Dr.Browns can leak a tiny bit if you over fill with water or if you do not connect all the parts right.I would recommend these bottles for any baby with gas, acid reflux or colic...
